I just moved to the area, and was really nervous about the golf culture here and was hoping for a great experience. I loved the courses I moved away from but my job and life forced me to leave them, that leads me to my reason for writing this. I do not understand why Pro Shop workers feel the need to be rude, short, and downright unprofessional to paying customers. If your course is open until 8 PM and I show up at 6:30 pm to hit a bucket of range balls, I do not see the need for a worker to say "you sure you want to hit balls? I don't get why you would come so late." All I wanted was a friendly smile and a thank you have a good day - here are the range balls. I go to the range around 5 days a week and always take care of the course, am respectful and above all else a PAYING customer. I will be taking my business and money to a course 30 min farther away due to how I was treated. I really wish that the owners of courses like this saw how their pro shop workers interact with customers and see how much money they are costed per month. I'm sure it's a great course but not worth the disrespectful rude...
Read moreHaving golfed this course on multiple occasions from early morning to mid-afternoon and late into summer evenings, I've always appreciated the level of attention and care that this course is maintained. During peak summer months, it gets a lot of traffic and can be quite busy but the fairways are always groomed nicely, the greens are immaculate and the facilities are top notch. The staff is friendly and the mobile refreshment cart that traverses the course to refresh players with drinks is a nice touch. For a public course, the pricing is great, especially the late afternoon, early evening price break, and the driving range is spacious with a nice practice chipping green as well and a roomy practice putting green also. The course layout is forgiving in that if you slice and hook a ball hard, odds are you'll still be able to play the ball in an adjoining fairway. Definitely worth the price and...
Read moreFun and challenging course. You can tell the greenskeeping crew and management work hard to keep the course in as good of shape as possible.
There is a nice variety of golf holes here. As usual there are a handful of doglegs, and some holes with moderate elevation changes, but no blind shots, and the par 3's are all very manageable lengths. There are a couple of parts 5's that are reachable with a safely placed tee shot.
Of all the times I've played here, the greens are generally in great condition, aside from players not repairing their ball marks, or being very early or late in the season.
There are some posts citing the fact that there are no "deals" offered. While that may be true, it seems that the courses that do, generally aren't as good, or are nnot kept in equal condition. Probably safe to say that you get what...
