Disclaimer I moved from Arizona and even there its hard to find truly good Mexican food the only place I really love in Arizona is Garcia's so I guess I'm kind of a Mexican food snob.
I took my parents out to eat here today overall it was okay food nothing amazing but nothing great. The service was pretty bad overall our first waitress wasn't all that friendly ( she wasn't bad either though) and more importantly she was just not very attentive and at one point she just disappeared without a word and the other girl working there kind of took over but still she wasn't attentive either. The other girl that took over was nice but seemed like she was very busy but I think there were only 3 tables so idk why she was rushing around like crazy maybe there was something I wasn't aware of.
Starting off with chips and salsa they're okay the chips have a good flavor but are a little thick and the salsa has an okay favor but its not chunky at all which is a real bummer.
I ordered the Steak Fajitas Lunch Special again they were pretty decent and I'm really picky with Mexican food however there was very little steak only enough to make 2 Fajitas so my 3rd tortilla ended up going to waste, which is crazy because it was still like 15 bucks and I don't even make my Fajitas big either, it was just a very little amount of meat even for a lunch special. I should at least have enough steak to make 3 normal sized Fajitas or even small Fajitas. (Vegis were cooked well and had a good flavor.) Oh also I forgot to mention but the steak was cut up in very small chunks as well not the larger strips you'd expect at other Mexican food places and I mean some were so tiny they were as big as my finger tip.
If I'm rating on only taste I would rate the Steak Fajitas something like a 7/10 they were a bit bland but still had a good taste and the meat was pretty tender but yeah there should have been more.
My mom ordered the Chimichanga with Carne Asada and she was not pleased at all (specifically the Carne Asada) she'd rate it something to a 3/10 and she also had Chile relleno and she liked that a decent amount probably probably like a 7/10.
Dad ordered the Chicken Enchilada and a Chicken Chimichanga he actually liked both his things quite a bit but he still thought it wasn't anything special again a 7/10.
So overall the food was better than most Mexican food places and probably the best Mexican Food in CDA maybe even in the Spokane/CDA area but its nothing special either.
One last thing the price was actually pretty affordable everything we ordered was off the lunch menu and we paid about 44 dollars for 3 people (not including the tip) (we only had water...
Read moreFound this little place during a pretty drive along side Coeur D'Alene Ave. No wait so we stopped in. Got seated right away with drinks. Our waitress must have had other priorities aside from us. We ordered and waited. Watched three other tables get their food before us knowing we came in and ordered before them. Our group only had 3 people in it. Why did I mark it 2 stars? Their tap water tasted like it came out of a green garden hose. No joking. It was gross. We ordered pop instead. Never offered refills or another beer. Drinks sat empty the rest of our time. She delivered our food and we never saw her again until it was time to pay. The flavor was ok but not amazing. I ordered a chicken burrito that had maybe a table spoon full of chicken but plenty of rice and beans for $15. We also got fajitas and tacos. The meat inside the tacos was laughable. Look at the pictures. Rice was hard and crunchy. Best part was the only beer I was able to order. Service was sub-parr, food was sub-parr, environment was not great. Lots of smoke from fajitas. A/C didn't work during summer. Parking was very tight. Floors, walls, door knobs were very dirty. Bathrooms was dirty especially right around the door handle. Looked like no has wiped the door down in years. Prices were high for what I got. Put a full cup of chicken in my Burrito and I would have been ok paying $15. Now I know why there wasn't a wait to...
Read moreOn recommendation from a friend I tried this place as it was close to my hotel during a recent work trip. I went twice, but will not return. The first time I ordered tacos and dined in. It was nothing special or flavorful for sure! Taco shells seemed to be straight from a walmart box, and underwhelmingly filled with mediocre contents. The beans and rice also were not very flavorful. The second visit I opted for a bean, cheese, and rice burrito, afterall how can you get that wrong? It comes smothered in a ketchup style red sauce in a huge tortilla with scarcely anything in it! Disappointed as I was the worst part was by the time I got my to go order back to my room a quarter mile away it was cold! The salsa is akin to mild flavored jalapeno/onion water and next to impossible to get anything chunky on the tortilla chips so I ended up crunching a tortilla chip and shooting salsa like a tequila shot. When I asked for more salsa they told me it woumd be an extra dollar per little container. I told them flat out that if that was the case I would not be coming back. There are a few really good places in CDA for Mexican food, this is not one of them. Try Las...
