We enjoyed a couple visits in the past. It is a beautiful lakeview setting, and we appreciate that they offer a Beyond burger. The biggest downside was that parking is awkward, with no signs, and its' quite a long walk from the nearest lot (especially in winter).
Today, we arrived as they were switching from breakfast to lunch. We chose lunch, and ordered right away. There were hardly any other customers there.
45 minutes after we ordered, and 40 minutes after they they stopped breakfast, others had their lunch, but we were still waiting for our burger and salad. Our server hadn't been by for 15 minutes or so. I went inside to ask, and was told that "the salad is just being dressed now". Five minutes later, still without food or a visit from our server, we gave up, and left.
Of course by then the food was ready, but we didn't stay. The server and supervisor gave a couple weak excuses, but didn't apologize for the delay, nor for not keeping us informed. Don't be fooled by these review responses, they are not making it right with customers and obviously not doing anything about it if you read recent reviews.
Two of us ordered the Southwest Salad, which includes guacamole on the menu. When the salads arrived without the guacamole, the server said they were out. But another dish had avocado on top, so I asked for avocado. The server said I would be CHARGED EXTRA for the avocado, even though I was already paying for guacamole that was missing. I said that wasn't right, and magically she came back with two sides of guacamole, that she just said they were out of. This is on top of needing to get up and find the server to order, and then again to get our bill. I expect far more from a restaurant attached to the Coeur d'Alene golf course and Hagadone. We were really looking forward to having the lobster rolls which are on their online menu only to find out that they had a limited menu for Labor Day weekend, one of the busiest weekends of the summer. After getting over that disappointment my wife ordered a filet medium rare. It arrived almost well done. Our server never came back to ask us how everything was so we had to chase someone down to let them know that the steak was not correct. Instead of putting our replacement steak in front of the line, we had to wait another 20+ minutes and it still hadn't come. By that time my had gotten cold so I had to finish it so we ended up not getting the second entrée so my wife never even got to have an entrée for dinner.
