If it wasn’t for the excellent and boozy drinks it would be one star. There was something wrong with everything we ordered. First the tomato soup was supposed to come with cheesy bread. The soup comes out - no cheesy bread. I asked the waitress about it she said they ran out. But then she offered that it was just the same bread they use to start your meal (which was sitting on the table). So I asked if they ran out of cheese. She said no - they just ran out of cheesy bread. So make some more!!!! We ordered more bread so they clearly had plenty of bread. Next the Caesar comes out without croutons. In its place - the table bread!!! They just ripped apart the bread. Didn’t even bother attempting to toast it. The Caesar would have been good with croutons but it was the worst without them. I also don’t understand how lazy the kitchen can possibly be. You can’t toast ripped up bread to at least attempt resembling croutons. And you can’t put some cheese on top of bread to make cheesy bread. Maybe the toaster oven was broken? My god. Also neither of these huge issues were mentioned when we ordered. Not that I need tomato soup with cheesy bread but that was the selling point for ordering soup in July. And a Caesar without croutons is not a Caesar. Finally my friend didn’t want the aole or whatever came on the burger. So we asked for it on the side. Did it come on the side? Of course not. Smack dab on the burger. However the pomegranate margarita (I think it was Pom) was killer. Thank you bartender for not making our dinner a...
Read moreArrived at the restaurant about 7:45pm Sat night. It was packed. Got a seat at the bar ordered drinks. One martini and a glass of wine. The martini was very short and with the xtra-large olive even shorter. The glass of wine a normal pour. The place was so noisy you had to almost yell to talk to the person next to you. We usually eat at the bar. I ordered linguine with clams and my wife ordered roasted organic chicken. I told the bartender what I thought about my 1st drink but it didn't phase him because I got the same pour for my second. When the meal came my dish had 5 little clams and a teaspoon of chopped clams, (no mention of chopped clams on the menu), and about three fork fulls of pre-cooked over cooked pasta . No flavor and the broth was unappetizing to say the least. I asked for a spoon which I never got. I told the bartender about the overcooked pasta but there was again no response.
My wife's chicken dish was also disappointing. Although the chicken itself was very good the potatoes and carrots were undercooked.
For a restaurant that has been open for over a year and people who know and understand the restaurant business they should be able to get it right.
Maybe because it was a busy Saturday night or ??. I think it was the first...
