Would have loved to have been able to enjoy a creamy from here. This place seemed like it would have been top notch; they had a massive line wrapped around the building for the drive through alone not to mention walk in orders had a line outside.
I waited in line for 40 minutes to try and get one, honestly was looking forward to my experience here but was left disappointed.
The order menu wasnât illuminated at all, which isnât a big deal to people either familiar with the place or for people who have access to the menu online, but not everyone can do that easily. That could be overlooked if it wasnât for the service I received, or rather lack there of.
After waiting in a stand still line for 40 min and just getting to the window area a worker would come out to talk to one car and then go back inside. Then a few min later it happened again and when finally they go to me and after I was waiting 40 minutes they told me that their cash only as their card reader went off line. Awfully convenient that that would happen just 20 minutes before they were supposed to close. It wouldâve been better if that worker wouldâve walked down the row of cars one by one and inform them directly one after another rather than going back inside to wait a few minutes to come out to the next car. That in an of itself screams poor service. They couldnât bother any of the other cars coming in to let them know that it was cash only and made them wait in line as well. Would never come back here again due to that kind of service. I really expected better so I took my business elsewhere and got a...
Read moreVisited Vermont from Australia đŠđș for a week, and came here three evenings. Never had a âcreemeeâ before, but we were told to check out numerous places to try one and make comparisons. The village scoop was far superior to other places we visited, you roll up in your car and either go to the drive through, which is cars lined up and wrapped around this building, or park the car and go in (which we did as it was nicer to sit and enjoy it outside and not in the car ride)
The girls working were all lovely, I never thought working at a dessert place would be so fast paced especially on a Monday evening. In our 3 visits I tried multiple flavours, highly recommend the OG half choc/half vanilla twist, black raspberry and Maple, if youâre from out of town/or like us from out of the country, Maple is the go to. The sizes are overly generous. The photo below was a medium, we were shocked it was like holding the leaning tower of Pisa in an icecream version, not sure how youâd go about holding the larger size haha
This place trumps all the other creemee joints around Vermont.
Ps recommend if you get a cone, ask for a cup and spoon with it, so you donât lose any creemee...
Read moreI recently had my first visit to The Village Scoop, and it was such an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The shop has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that feels very community-centered, and the staff were friendly, patient, and happy to answer questions about their flavors. The service was quick but never rushed, which made the whole experience feel relaxed.
For my treat, I chose two scoops of hard ice cream in a cup, Sea Salted Caramel Truffle and Cookies 'n Cream. Both flavors were excellent. The Sea Salted Caramel Truffle was rich, creamy, and had just the right balance of sweet and salty, with delightful truffle chunks throughout. The Cookies 'n Cream was classic and satisfying, with plenty of cookie pieces in each bite.
One of the best parts of the visit was being able to sit outside under a tree on a bench while I enjoyed my ice cream. The outdoor seating area was peaceful and shaded, making it the perfect spot to relax and savor each scoop.
Overall, The Village Scoop offers great ice cream, warm service, and a lovely outdoor space to enjoy your treat. Iâm excited to return and try even...
