Willows Bar — Restaurant in Coldwater

I can’t even begin to describe how disappointed I am in my experience here. So let me tell you why.

I had one experience here that was over-the-top wonderful and it made my partner and I want to come back. The food and the server were amazing And we loved every bit of the experience.

After that we came to the restaurant again and we ordered food and we were very disappointed. There are no managers there that you can speak to. There are only white staff and I feel like that is very unprofessional for. You don’t have a way to bring your feelings up to anyone who has the ability to make a change, except for people who make excuses for the employees that are working there.

Fast forward to where we are now. We walked into the restaurant tonight for a good dinner. We specifically ordered our sandwiches to be on grilled bread. We got anything about that. It was bread that was toasted, but it was barely toasted. I don’t know about any of you, but when I’m very clear about what I want for my order and the server smiles and says yeah, no problem, I sure hope that they follow through and make sure it is exactly what I want.

Apparently, I made a major mistake and called the restaurant to discuss my order. I was told again that there is no manager and I had to speak to Brittany. Make sure to be very aware if you have to speak to someone there named Brittany. She does not care about your experience.. All she did was make excuses for the fact that my food was not on grilled bread and it was toaster, and it wasn’t actually even toasted and that the fries were not even cooked and she made excuses for her grill staff.

We ended up having to take all of our food to go, and I wasn’t able to look at it before we left the restaurant. My mistake. Although, if I had to speak to Brittanie, I would assume that she would care just as little if I was there as she did when I spoke with her over the phone.

This restaurant should be very ashamed of themselves. I expect a heck of a lot better in this area. I’m willing to pay for good food, but I also do expect to be treated correctly.

I really hope the owners see this review and take some action. We have very much enjoyed coming to the Willows at different points in time, but certainly not the las couple of times we ordered food.

Unless the owners of the restaurant address this issue with their staff, please be very aware of what you’re getting into. You will deal with servers who don’t care about your feedback, will make excuses further employees, and be very happy to charge you for food that you don’t get according to the order...

I stopped by there tonight for dinner. It had been recommended by a friend to get a hamburger, which I normally don't. But since this is a bar and grill, I didn't find prime rib or shrimp in lobster sauce or chicken marsala. They have a very minimal "bar" menu, with hamburgers playing a huge role. So I got one with an order of fries. It arrived just as I ordered it, and was delicious. One guy at the next table told me that the beef was never frozen. Not sure if that's true or even if it influences the taste, but it was cooked to perfection, fries were good, also. Just for an example at the attention to detail, toasting a bun correctly adds a lot to a burger, and this one was Goldilocks, in other words, "Just right!" I normally drink water with meals, so my burger with fries was under $12 before a well-deserved tip. Considering that many spots now have burgers starting at $15 and going up from there, it's a real bargain for some really good food. I live about 25 miles from this bar, but after this experience, I would consider driving that distance just for a good burger, even if I don't have a reason to go a couple towns over. All in all, great experience at a busy time, I walked in and found one empty table for two (there were stools at the bar), the waitress was quick and cordial, and the order was done very promptly considering the number of customers. The only negative was that they don't offer a veteran's discount. Some do, some don't, I always ask, and it's not a deal-breaker for me. For sure, The Willows gets a big...

Pity of beautiful scenery, beautiful day! But today's service and the experience we had for the first time, was disgusting and humiliating. Because of the bad service we had, a waitress insulted us, who was not even in charge of our table, and kicked us out of the place... The waitress humiliated us, yelled at us, and incidentally in front of all the people who were there. At no time did I respond to her because I felt super bad and humiliated. To add, from another table they mocked and applauded the waitress for her mistreatment... My fiancé just asked to be served! And the truth is I still feel very bad. It was something very unpleasant, I think there is no need to yell and humiliate people, there are other ways to resolve situations. In a few words, the problem began because the waitress that corresponded to our table never came to give us the service like all those who were at the other tables. Except for the table where my fiance and I were. He went to get his own service at the bar.
