Calgaro's Pizza of Cole Camp — Restaurant in Cole Camp

We drove over on the weekend from Adrian which is about an hour and a half drive. We read about this place being voted the number one pizza in Missouri by the readers of Rural Missouri. Being unable to eat out except for restaurants with curbside during this self quarantine is tough. The wife and I usually try to get carry out once a week while taking a drive to get out of the house. We are very happy we used our one trip on Calgaro’s. I had the best rib eye steak sandwich ever there today!!! It was a full 8 ounces, and unlike many steak sandwiches was thick, and perfectly cooked to order (rare for me, thanks). It was absolutely delicious. Best of all, perhaps, it was $8!!! I upgraded from the potato chips to the mountain of crisp on the outside, fluffy and tender on the inside french fries, which brought the bill to $10. What a meal. The only reason I went 4 stars is, the menu was confusing to me about building a multiple toppings pie. Otherwise it was fricking fantastic. The sauce is a "sweet tomato sauce". Some people don't like it but for us with heavy gastric acid it is a godsend. The sugar kicks butt on the acid that causes reflux. Crust is thin and crispy.
