I’m not sure what to say other than this restaurant was everything you want you local Chinese takeout place to be and more. It was honestly one of the best dinners I have had in a while.
Pulling up the restaurant looks a bit unassuming, you need to pull around back to get to the entrance. Walking in it’s not a huge restaurant but service is really quick! Our waitress was so nice and she was the only one working up front when we were there but she was on top of her game.
Sitting down we got tea and water pretty quickly and then we got to look at the menu. It’s a pretty encompassing menu they had congee to pad Thai and pretty much everything you could think of in between 😂. Settled on some wonton soup, Mongolian beef, and a noddle dish that I cannot for the life of me remember what it was but it was EXCELLENT. The portion sizes? EVEN BETTER FOR THE PRICE!
Wonton soup was an awesome starter, the wonton wrappers had a solid bite to them which I honestly prefer over the paper thin ones you usually get. The broth it came in was also pretty stellar. The Mongolian beef was pretty much perfect. The sauce was excellent, the beef was not even a tad chewy and the green onion and onion were left with a tiny bit of crunch that tied the dish all together. The noodle dish that I am now kicking myself for not remembering was also an excellent choice. It was a bright yellow from turmeric and had chicken, shrimp, bell peppers, and slight spicy heat that really made the whole dish.
I came here with a friend who usually has bad acid reflux when eating out that is usually set off by processed foods or something of that nature and is used to suffering whenever we eat out (they were ready to take the L) but leaving they said they didn’t feel not a bit of heartburn coming on which for some reason makes me love this place even more.
I had an absolutely excellent time at this restaurant and given how much I paid for the meal and the portion sizes I received, I want to come back every night. Do yourself a favor...

Got there just after 5 and there was only one other customer there waiting for their carry out order. Our table of 5 were seated promptly.
Our problem started after being seated. Our waitress didn’t give us any menus after seating us, but did walk away. When she returned, still without menus, asked us what we wanted to order. We asked for water and menus. The menus were about 5 feet away from our table in a basket.
Instead of just reaching over and handing over some menus, she walked away to get us water. Came back about with just glasses then left to get a pitcher. We ended up just grabbing the menus ourselves.
When she got back, she asked what we wanted. We ordered some food and a few sodas. Soda order came back wrong, which was promptly fixed. Still this place serves cans…. Also the menus were not clean. No visible food stuck to them, but they looked and felt a bit grimy. When she took out menus, she just threw them back into the basket. I’m guess they don’t get cleaned unless someone spills food on them.
Food was hot and fresh. American Chinese food like General Tao’s chicken wasn’t as good as most corner Chinese carry outs. More authentic stuff, I’m not sure, but we had 2 at our table says it was very good. Me, I thought it was kind of bland. It was all hot and fresh, but bland to me.
BTW, we ordered 7 dishes to be shared around the table.
Out of our group of 5, 3 of us were indifferent about their food, and it’s not a joint we look forward to going back. The two others loved it and said they’re...
Read moreThe place is not obvious - you have to look for it jammed between a couple of buildings. The street facing side is filthy, run down, beaten up. I was very uneasy pulling in. You are directed around back and it is much better. Not great, but much better.
When I went inside, the interior was much much better. Plain and simple, yes, but very clean and nicely laid out. The menu had pictures of some of the dishes which was helpful. As is typical, some of the descriptions amused. "Meat on rice" was one, with a picture of an unknown slab of meat on rice.
I ordered egg rolls and Kung Pao Chicken.
Egg rolls - steaming hot, not very greasy, and very tasty. Not the best I have ever had, but I'd certainly order them again.
Kung Pao - I made a couple of mistakes here and these are my fault. I normally order all white meat because I'm never certain what those small bits of meat are otherwise, and I get a bit uneasy. I forgot. Some of them crunched a bit. I also forgot to order no MSG and whoever was cooking went very heavy handed. MSG makes me a bit buzzy and I'm sitting here practically vibrating - not good.
Rice (came with Kung Pao) - Perfectly done.
Service - very fast, very pleasant
Wireless - Yep. Just ask for the password. That was excellent as Sprint has almost no service there.
Would I go back? Yes. I'd just...
