I want to first start with I have been to this location 2 times at this point, I have spent 50 to 60 plus dollars on both occasion's. The first time the chicken strips were burnt I over looked it, the second time I called to place the order over the phone I was put on hold for about five minutes and then I hung up and just called back. The lady who answered the phone got upset with me because I said I had been on hold waiting to place an order she said, and I quote you hung up on me I said I waited for according to my phone counter five minutes and three seconds , so yes, then I did hang up and call you back. I placed my order And when i got my order the Santa Fe egg rolls were soaked through with Grease and the loaded fries we not loaded they fixed the fries while I waited, didn’t know about the egg rolls until I got home. I was going to give them one more chance.I called to place an order was asked to hold, I said sure and to be honest at the 5 minute mark we were deciding where else we were going to go get something to eat from but I wanted to see how long it would actually take for someone to answer the phone 19 minutes later I was still on hold. At this point I have decided I will not go back. I really feel this is unacceptable for a new restaurant whose prices aren’t that cheep. Most of the food was good but I just can’t keep going to a place that treats there customers like they don’t matter especially when I am spending my hard earned...
Read moreMy wife and I frequent Kats since my wife was a bowling partner of another person there This past week we went to Kats. I ordered their steak and cheese egg rolls BUT they didn't have any steak. And No Sub rolls either. My wife wanted their chicken tenders with a side of potato salad, Well they didn't have any potato salad. She ultimately got a house salad. The chicken tenders were Extremely Well done. Then when we were getting our bill, I mentioned that I was a 15 year Naval Veteran since Kats gives a discount to veterans. When we got The bill, The waitress forgot to include the veteran discount. She took the bill cause she said she would re do the bill with the discount. When she returned, she had the new bill with the discount included. I signed it, left it on the table. When I got home I checked my account as I always do to constantly check my balance. Well the waitress rung up the receipt that was more and without the military discount. Instead of ringing up the receipt with the discount, she did the larger bill and No military discount. This was the worst trip we've had at Kats. The waitress was more interested in the person at the bar than the customers at the tables. Sorry, But it will be some time before we return. The service this time was Not worth the trip. And now that I know she is NOT interested in the veterans and their service. It's no longer a favorite place for us to eat. My wife has said that it will be a Long time...
Read moreThis was my second time visiting. Our server, Patrick, was excellent. He had to serve the whole dining room and was doing a really good job. We arrived before 6pm and the room was about half full, the average age of the diners was between 60 and 70 years old. As we were eating our salads and having our cocktails, the music suddenly got extremely loud. It was really unpleasant, we couldn't have a conversation. The next time our server came over, we asked if the music could be turned down, and after a few minutes, someone did do that luckily.
We both got fish and chips, the same as on my first visit, and it was delicious, however the kitchen ran out of cole slaw and they said they were looking for some or making more, but it never came out and we didn't get anything to substitute for it. Aside from that, it was a good meal. Younger people started arriving between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, so if you are looking for a young crowd you should arrive at 7:00.
The menu doesn't offer many vegetarian options, just grilled cheese, pizza, or cheese quesadillas. I suggested that they add a veggie burger to the menu. They could keep Beyond Burgers in the freezer and pull one out whenever someone orders one. Seems easy. We like Kat's, but hopefully they'll keep the music down when the older folks are dining, and turn it up later when the young...
