TX Burger - Wellborn — Restaurant in College Station

I would give zero stars if I could. It takes a lot to get me to make a review but I can’t pass this up. I’ve been to this location twice and I will never be coming back again. The first time about a year ago we dined in and three burgers and fries took over an hour, they tasted decent enough to try again last night. I made my order online and it was pending for twenty minutes but I had input my cc info so I was invested as my order was $80. I called three separate times over twenty minutes with no answer so we had to drive there to inquire if our order was being made. The girl told us it just went through, the text we received said it would be ready at 8:05 but that was 5 min past the time we were there. I asked when it would be ready, she said 30 min, we said OK and she walked to the back. We decided to wait at home for our pick up order bc we live one mile away. We come back and another girl let us know that the first girl canceled our order bc we left? We never canceled our order, we had an entire interaction and never once told her to cancel anything, we told her ok and she walked off! No update to let us know our order was canceled. The girl who canceled the order walked up front and I asked her why she canceled and order that a customer didn’t ask to be canceled and she looked at me, rolled her eyes and just walked off, not a word. The other girl had to TELL her to apologize and she did it rudely and rolled her eyes again. Seriously what the hell, I’ve never seen such an incompetent and rude wait staff in my life. No,”I’m sorry for the confusion ma’am” nothing, just a rude attitude. We went to whataburger and got our stuff in 15 min. DO NOT EAT HERE! We bought the TX burger, and jalapeño cream cheese burger and added bacon. Thankfully my lovely girlfriend checked the bag before we left because they gave us two TX burgers. After informing the staff of the mishap they seemed annoyed and took my burger to the back and added the bacon and jalapeños. no cream cheese. Now, i already licked both ends of the burger to make sure the mayonnaise wasn’t cream cheese or spicy before telling them about the mistake the first time. So when i ask them about the cream cheese they get visibly annoyed and tell me “it should be on it” and after informing them i’m certain it’s not they take my burger to the back again. now at this point all they have to do is add cream cheese, but instead they come out and tell me “your burger did have cream cheese on it, but we had to lick the burger to check so now we are making you a new one.” What? So instead of simply adding cream cheese they decided to lick my burger and remake it. meanwhile my girlfriends food is getting cold. after waiting another 10 minutes i asked for a refund. while standing at the counter an employee picks up a bag that’s been sitting on the counter and says “oh dude we just finished making it” No dude, it’s been sitting there getting cold. After asking for a full refund they only gave me back the money for the jalapeño burger even though we never touched the other food and at this point everything was cold. How does one piece of lettuce end up on a burger that was ordered to be with only ketchup? One single giant piece that perfectly fit on the burger.like it was placed there on purpose as a joke, or if the cook doesn’t care enough to make a order correctly and what a burger is okay with that. When you put lettuce on a burger isn’t there more then 1 single thin piece? Why would I just get 1 piece? I’ll never wait in line 15min to pay 16$ for one medium meal and a single burger just for the burgers to be made wrong. And since I’m guessing this is some sort of careless joke and no one at this location cares enough about their job to double check burgers made for the customers, I’m considering my money wasted and I don’t have enough trust that if I had them remake it it would still be wrong. There’s something to be said when the pick up window in lane 2 comes out to get the money, then goes inside, gets the change, then goes back to get the one drink, and then goes in to then return with the food, this process took 15min and the girl looked like she was ready for a break in the heat. I’ll miss what a burger, but if they don’t care enough to make food as it’s ordered, I don’t care to waste my time and money on a meal that isn’t what was described...
