Legends Pub — Restaurant in College Township

We stopped by the Legends Pub for an early dinner yesterday, (Monday): I had the "Happy Valley Charcuterie Platter," [i.e., which was amazingly-tasty with its array of different types of sliced cheese & sausage; marinated mushrooms; whole-seed mustard; fruit relishes/jams/jellies; toasted bread rounds, etc.!] ........................ and my husband had a Reuben Sandwich with Fries, [i.e., which he said was top-shelf "wonderful"!]!!

Although the food is maybe a bit expensive (i.e., for this area) the portions were so generously LARGE that we both asked for take-home boxes, which our fantastic server Eric ............ [who, without fail through the years, has always been very attentive & accommodating every single time he's been our server!] ............ promptly brought out!! Today, we subsequently enjoyed our delicious "Pub leftovers"; so, all-in-all, we do think the Legends Pub is definitely a Good V.a.l.u.e., ...

Penn State should be concerned about how this restaurant represents its brand. Been here a few other times for drinks at bar which was fine. Went tonight to try dinner and we were substantially disappointed. Food was tasty and a good tap list but aside from that, the positives were non-existent. Waitress took drink orders, but then disappeared for 10 minutes. Manager brought waters and we had to remind about our drinks. Then manager took food order. Food took 30-40 minutes. One entree was delivered 10-15 minutes before the other 3. Then one entree was incorrect (wrong burger) and not comped. From time we requested check to time it was paid was a total of 20 minutes. Overall poor experience only slightly redeemed by food quality and tap list. Would have ordered desert if the dinner process had not taken a...

Our server seemed not to know anything about the place he worked at, including what was on the menu. My colleague asked for a simple and common cocktail she saw on their Google menu; he had to ask the bartender and the bartender didn't know how to make it. She asked if they could make another common one; finally the server came over with two of the cocktail I ordered. When she sent it back (because it wasn't what she ordered) the bartender sighed loudly and in an aggravated manner, apparently upset that she didn't just accept whatever he sent over. My cocktail was very bad. The food tasted OK but was impossible to chew through. I wouldn't recommend this place. You're better off at a chain restaurant in the area, which is where we headed for night 2...
