China House Restaurant — Restaurant in Collinsville

Have ordered take out sporadically over the years from this restaurant. Could have sworn they accepted credit cards in the past but might be mistaken. Had to make a run to and from an ATM in downtown and pay a $3.00 additional fee to pay for my meal tonight not including the fuel to make the extra run. The food was good. Pepper steak and fried rice. The hot and sour soup had a little too much black pepper. To a mostly cashless public these days CASH ONLY was a surprise and a major inconvenience. The cashier/hostess was very nice and apologetic but I was not told on the phone nor was the CASH ONLY policy posted at the restaurant. I love this place! Today was my first day trying their food. 10/10! 😋 I got chicken and vegetables. The chicken was delicious, vegetables were cooked perfectly, the sauce was the perfect sweetness, and the rice was super! It’s a family-owned business so I love supporting them. Raw egg in soup!!!! Wont go back. Avoid this place!! Went there 3 years ago and the waitress was rude and didn't even smile. So decided not to go back for 3 years.
