We love this place. From the Tamarind Fruit Water to the food back in the restaurant, it is a special place. Yes, we are Gringos, but we have a special love and affinity for Latin and South America, and we also love Jesus. So, this place and the location in Fort Payne is a must stop for us. You hear Christian music, see friendly smiles, and there are always a couple of friendly English speakers.

Last night, we stopped to get some Tamarind water on our way home, and the place was closed early. I was upset, as my wife and I had been on a date and she wanted one and I wanted her to have it. I called and asked what time they closed, and the fellow on the phone said they closed early last night. Rather than say something I should not have said, I just rather rudely hung up on him. We backed out, and my cell phone rang. It was a local number so I answered. It was one of the owners/managers, and he said they would let me in to get what I needed and was very kind and apologetic.

Located in the middle of quaint town of Collinsville, this Mexican Market is Mexico. Authentic food; beans, rice, spices, cheese, fruit I’ve never even seen before, Past all of this is a restaurant. Beautifully decorated and a bit on the warm side. The steak fajitas were the best we have ever had, hot and smoking with tender steak cooked perfectly tomatoes, peppers and onions. A definite yes! The Nachos Supreme with Steak,was very good, The Cuban Sandwich was huge, filled with meat and cheese. Also an excellent choice. I want to start by saying the food is absolutely FANTASTIC! Everything we ordered was amazing. We haven't had authentic Mexican this good since we moved from Chicago. What earned them only 3 stars is their process. It's very chaotic. When we walked in there are no signs or anything to indicate whether we should seat ourselves. After asking I am told yes we seat ourselves but all the empty tables are messy with dirty dishes still on them. We stood for 20 minutes before they got around to clearing us a table.
