Yesterday I had order pizza at 5:18 PM. I order a Large Stuffed Crust Pizza they said it was going to be 45 minutes for the pizza. We also got it delivered and we live about 20 minutes away so I was prepared to wait about 65-85 minutes for the pizza. After 1.5 hours I decided to call just to make sure that nothing had gotten mixed up and they didn’t think I was going to pick it up. They said that the delivery driver just left. That’s fine and all I know how busy Pizza joints can get on the weekend. Another hour goes by and I call again and they inform me that the Delivery driver could not find my house so he returned to the restaurant to give another delivery driver a go at it. This is where my first problem started. Why didn’t the delivery driver just give me a call I could have explained where I lived. Oh well. Another hour goes by I call again. At this point it is 8:15 pm. They close at 9 so I just wanted to make sure that they were about here because I didn’t want to make them stay later than they were scheduled, I know I hate doing that. Well 9 rolls around and my pizza is nowhere in sight. I called again and this time the lady informed me that my pizza was delivery and it was on my front porch. Well while on the phone with her I told her it was not and they must have gone to the wrong house. She then argued with me that the pizza was left at my house. I have 3 dogs that would go nuts if someone knocked on my door let alone pulled into my driveway. And why wouldn’t the driver call me if I didn’t answer the door? I have delivered pizzas before and yes sometimes you mess up and that’s okay but I would call them instead of leaving the pizza on the porch. (In the rain we had last night) My Fiancé posted a review on Facebook explaining the same situation along with a screen shot of my call log to prove that the 4 hour wait was not an exaggeration. This all happened last night. This morning I get a text message from my neighbor saying that they say her post on Facebook and also this morning when they got home noticed a pizza on their porch the box was of course ruined from the rain. But then today the delivery driver from last night commented on the review and said that he indeed delivered the pizza an knocked on the doors. Then when no one answered he left the pizza on the porch. Then when we replied that it was at our house he googled mapped the house that he delivered the pizzas to and took a screenshot and posted it on Facebook. And said “does this look familiar” once again I responded with that is not my house.
It is ridiculous that they take these actions against customers. Totally inappropriate and childish!
I did get a refund for my pizzas. (which I should)
I hope this helps people from having the same problem I have had.
Terrible delivery service and even worse customer service.
I do not recommend.
Update: The owner has reached out and apologized for her employees actions and has offered to make it up to us. I decided to update this post instead of delete it because I believe that all reviews of a business should be honest and truthful. I will say that the owner is very nice and I...
Read moreI saw their picture of the lasagna the week before Father's Day and when my daughter asked what I wanted to do for that day, I said I couldn't wait to go there for the lasagna that I saw. We went there the night before (6/15/24) to beat the crowds. I ordered the lasagna and my daughter ordered the chicken strips. Those were very good. Instead of the beautiful lasagna in their picture, which is on a glass plate, I got a frozen TV dinner in an aluminum pan. How do I know it was frozen you ask? Because the edges of my "dinner" was scalding hot with just sauce and cheese. Trying to find a noodle, I went to the middle only to find what I think was the noodles that you don't have to boil first, and they were cold. They were hard and tasted like paste. Absolutely nothing like the picture. I didn't say a word to my daughter because we waited all week for me to get this and we drove 45 minutes one way to get there. I tried calling several times afterwords and their phone service is horrible, like others have said. As a side note, a husband and wife behind us ordered the jumbo shrimp as an appetizer while they waited for their pizza. They ate it and boxed up 3 pcs to take home, which they did. Their pizza came, they each had one piece, left the entire pizza on the table and left. Don't know what that was all about. They need to take the picture of the delicious-looking, authentic lasagna off their website and put the true picture on there. It is definitely NOT homemade and it is disgusting. The two girls that waited tables were pleasant and hard working. ...
Read moreWe are first time visitor to Maria's Pizza while working in the area. At first glance you'll notice that it's a very simple decor. You seat yourself. We were immediately greeted by the server who took our drink order. As an appetizer, we chose the bacon cheese fries. A few minutes later, a large plate of bacon and cheese goodness landed on our table. I was amazed how much there was. I really expected a plate for two. We ended up having two portions each and enough to take home for leftovers. For our entree, we chose a large stuffed half cheese, half sausage pizza. When it arrived at our table, we noticed that it's had a bit to much sauce on top. The cheese taste raw and not salty like mozzarella normally taste. It would be more satisfying if the stuffed pizza had been put through the oven prior to adding the sauce topping. This way you get that slight burnt cheese goodness that we all crave. Flavor wise, the pizza was bland. The kitchen decided to identify the cheese / sausage sides like this. They put cheese on top of the pizza sauce topping and said that was the sausage side. The other half that just had sauce was the cheese side. I felt it should have been the opposite but what do I know? Yet, when I served myself from the side that had just pizza sauce that was supposed to be cheese and it turns out that it's sausage. It was too confusing for me. Maybe next time I'll just try to pan pizza. The bill for the fries and the large stuffed pizza with two drinks came to just...
