Subway — Restaurant in Colona

I had to give it a 4 because it was awkward for the majority of the time I was in here. I came in to order a sandwich. The young guy at the counter helped me. While he was making my sandwich, a girl came out from the back and asked me what I was getting and what I wanted with my sandwich. So, she had me pay even before my sandwich was finished toasting. That’s odd? Is it not? So as soon as I paid, she said to the guy, okay I’m going to the bathroom.

Here’s the thing. I think She rushed me into paying because she needed to go to the bathroom? What I can’t figure out is why she had to come in and take over for the young man. I really feel as if she emasculated him. I’ll bet he’s capable of helping me through the entire interaction. I was really bothered by how the young man was treated. It was subtle, so he may have thought nothing of it.

Aside from that, the restaurant was very clean. I love that!

My sandwich tasted great. No issues whatsoever regarding taste or presentation …….however………After my bill was $16 and some change for one sandwich and one drink. First time eating at this subway. Gave food a 3 star only because there was barely any meat or veggies on the two footlongs we ordered. More bread than anything. Had coupons for buying 2 at $12.99 but was told we couldn't use on the chicken sandwiches we ordered. Was a bit surprised by that as all other subways always allow us to use our coupons on the chicken, just not on specialty sandwiches. Other than this, everything else was fine. I now wish I had taken a picture to show that the sandwiches were more bread than anything else. Had they been like other sandwiches made at other subways, we visit. As someone in the food/services industry this location is always prompt & doing the best they can; today some guy was pitching a fit because he had a coupon for buy one get one but insisted it was 2 free subs. Which in 2022, nothing will ever be completely free, as for the no meatball/ no substitute. We still live in Covid times, places are out of product which they have no control over being a corporation. I don’t understand when people became so entitled, stay home and yell at your microwave and do the public a favor. Hats off to the staff here for dealing with rude...
