MI Familia — Restaurant in Colorado City

This is my first time here, and I decided to get some simple tacos, and the price is decent for them. However, they did mess up my order, I asked for soft tacos and was given a hard shell set of tacos, it was also presented to me upside down in the to-go box, not knowing that it was purposely presented that way, I turned it back over, thus creating a mess (which is my fault, but for it being my first time there, I think they should have at least mentioned that it's served that way on purpose.) I brought it back after finding out they served the wrong type, they tried to strike me as a liar wanting free food until they looked at the receipt, and started to remake it. The shells were "softer" but still hard shell tacos.

As far as the food goes, it was a tad bit bland, not really a whole lot of flavor, just grease, cheese and lettuce is all I really tasted. The rice that I ordered was also bland and mushy, mixing it with the salsa made it better.

We got there at 10:10 & left over a hour & half later, our food took over an hour to get to us & we had eggs & bacon. Waitress rarely checked on us & to top it off she sat at the register & talked to a family member for quite sometime after telling us our food would be out shortly. the food was not flavorful, very bland. At the end we left a small tip after not wanting to leave one at all of 6 dollars considering our whole meal together for two was 18 so it was well over 20% & her & the other waitress made rude comments over the amount. Definitely NOT an almost 5 star Mexican restaurant. Some of the reviews aren't even for this restaurant! If you go in here expecting that you will be sorely disappointed. Hidalgo has the best Mexican food CC has to offer. Their ice cream sopapilla is fantastic.

Two stars for the service and middle of the road quality food and I hate to give the rating because the waitress was very sweet. However, the ground beef was the cheapest meat you could buy.
