This is a gem tucked away a little south of business 20 and Colorado City. The people are very nice and they atmosphere is top-notch. I experimented with the twin Chuck special, it came with these deep fried stuffed potato and meat thingies that are delicious 😋 to Green beef enchiladas with a fried egg on 🙌❤️ Also the tea was on spot

Surpringly nice spot though Margaritas are wine-based. Out of several Mexican restaurants within a 25 mile radius in the area, probably one of the best. Just the atmosphere is worth a visit.

Food was great, staff was friendly, and a great patio and atmosphere all around. We were happy to find this local gem during our drive across Texas!

Our family was celebrating a birthday for my daughter and we were in Colorado City for another event as well. My Ranchito sits off the beaten path a little bit but it is worth the extra mile to go from Interstate 20. The restaurant is behind the small Ranchito facing the street. There are some very interesting colorful decorations and decor as you walk behind the Rancito. There also is an outside patio for dining if you like that. We chose to go inside the restaurant proper. The decorations were unique and authentic. There was a full bar available but we did not utilize it. The tables were the large plastic picnic tables with likewise chairs where we sat. This restaurant was very clean, the lighting was just right. Not too bright or not too dim. The temperature of the room was comfortable, that being about 72 F. There were five of us dining and we each tried a different item on the menu. My son chose the carne asada and raved about its authentic flavor. I partook of the Big Muir which consisted of a spinach and chicken quesadilla with melted cheese. It also came with two different guacamole sides. I was very delighted with it. My wife choose the spinach enchiladas with green sauce(it is there mild sauce.) She enjoyed the spinach, which was not overly cooked nor under done. The green sauce is indeed mild. Her beans were fresh and flavorful. My youngest daughter chose the Burrito California. She had the steak option which she enjoyed immensely. The birthday girl selected the Chicken Fajitas. There was a generous portion of chicken with a delicious blend of onions and peppers. The corn tortillas were fresh and warm. We also tried two of the desserts. The first was the sopapilla with ice cream and the second being a large chocolate fudge brownie which came at flambeau! The sopapilla was very nicely done with cinnamon sugar and honey drizzled over the top, a large scoop of ice cream was placed on top and enjoyed by all. The fudge brownie was definitely for the chocolate lovers. It was thick and rich. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. The menu is larger than what I expected. Also they have a Facebook page and an online menu at menu.com. I would definitely return to this gem of...

I am a big person on reviews. When I’m trying a new place out, I always check online to see if it has great reviews which this place did so my husband and I thought we would try it out with our two boys. My husband and I went last night and arrived at 8:15. We waited at the door for quite some time without being seated and there were quite a few open tables but they were all dirty. When the lady at the desk finally noticed us she proceeded to ask who our server was, that of course is when I told her we had not even been seated yet. She was apologetic and immediately had a table cleaned and seated us. A young waitress brought us our chips and menus and didn’t say a word to us. We then proceeded to wait until 8:56 when another waitress walked by and I finally asked if someone good get us drinks and take our order. She said yes of course and went behind the counter and asked the staff “whose table is this?” I didn’t hear anything after that but she came back and took our order. As mad as I was, I will say the ONLY thing that saved it for us was our waitress. She was wonderful and you can tell very hardworking. I didn’t catch her name but she deserves a raise. Her hair was in a pony tail with red in it. Our food did not come to the table until 10:00p.m. and we were out of the restaurant at 10:22p.m. They had a large party group outside on the patio area but if you can not accommodate for the restaurant part and a large party maybe it should be reserved separate or have extra staff for those special occasions. Mind you the restaurant closes at 9 but we got there in plenty of time had someone actually acknowledged us in the first place and took our order immediately after we received our menus. And usually the hostess or person who seats you will ask for your drink order but no instead we sat there thirsty with 2 small boys. The food I would probably give 3 stars. You can tell it was rushed on account of my enchiladas being dry chicken wrapped in a corn tortilla with queso poured on top. Not even close to good authentic Mexican food. We just moved to the area and were looking for a good restaurant for those nights momma doesn’t wanna cook but its sad to say I will not be giving this restaurant...

Was recommended to us by locals. Was first place we've found in the area where we could enjoy a beer with some great Mexican food. And although we think wait staff needs more training, was slow & unprofessional. And overall think a clean place, but cob webs and over looked need for general house keeping, really caught my attention in area where guest pay out. We still recommend this place. Hopefully, owners will address these issues quickly. Would be a shame to let them continue to hurt your business, with food this wonderfully prepared. Think all will agree, the...
