Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

I don't mind paying more for lobster. That being said, I didn't get the classic lobster roll I ordered. Instead I think I got someone else's BLT lobster roll. The clam chowder is unmemorable - actually tasteless. The tater tots were mushy, not crispy and likely not left down in the fryer long enough. I had to go back to get the right lobster roll. The manager didn't refund the lousy tater tots but instead replaced them with more lousy tater tots (how do you mess up tater tots?). These were soggy AGAIN.😔 The classic lobster roll was also tasteless with the best part being the buttery bun! 😳

This place has only been open 2 days and this isn't a good way to start your new franchise business. The manager says that they're still working out the kinks. What? That should've been done before you opened. I've eaten a lot of lobster rolls and clam chowder in my life and this food isn't worth the money you'll pay. I so wanted to love this place. We just went on a New England cruise and ate lobster rolls all over the northeast. We were so excited to see this restaurant opening! The price of the lobster rolls was fairly comparable to what we paid, although the ones in the northeast were a little bigger and had more lobster on them. The lobster grilled cheese was excellent and very delicious. Also, the lobster dip was very good. The pita chips they served with it did not complement the dip. We were disappointed in the bisque. It wasn't very flavorful and you have to pay extra for lobster chunks. The crab roll was not good at all. The crab was not a good quality and had an extremely fishy taste. The lobster rolls were good, but had a little too much lemon and were a little dry. We were disappointed in the tip prompt whenever you pay. You order at the counter, pick up your own food, and clean up your table. I'm not sure what service they are...

I recently visited Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls, and I have to say, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. After waiting in an incredibly long line, I thought it would be worth it, but I was wrong. Once we finally got our food, the anticipation quickly turned to frustration.

I ordered the Bar Harbor Connecticut roll, and it was a letdown. The lobster was tough and not even warm when it arrived. To make matters worse, there seemed to be zero butter on the roll, which is a staple for a good lobster roll. For over $100 for our meal, I expected much better quality and flavor.
