Came here to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and we had the absolute best night here! We left feeling euphoric, the food and drinks were beyond amazing, and the service was top-notch!

We first ordered the margarita flight, and it was so fun trying four different flavors, we both had one favorite. The spicy and island were our least favorite, the island tasted like black licorice to us, and the spicy left your throat feeling itchy, but they were still packed with flavor and strong. The smoky was his favorite, tasted mostly of a normal margarita. The mountain was my favorite, it was very sweet. They do not skimp on alcohol here, they were all very strong. We then ordered another drink, I chose the mojito. This is by far the best mojito I have had in this town! It was the perfect mixture of rum and lime, sweet and strong!

We both ordered the island taco and chimi shrimp taco. We both thought the shrimp was best, but we are suckers for a good shrimp taco! The sauce was unique and let the taste of the shrimp shine. The island taco we thought the pork was a little dry, but we added lime juice, and it helped. The cabbage had a nice taste to it and made it very pleasing. We shared the salchipapas because we're curious about based on the description. It exceeded our expectations! The fry sauce was so packed with flavor and paired well witht he cheese. The pieces of cooked hot dog were surprisingly tasty, and I liked it with the fry sauce.

Lastly, we ordered the churros mainly because they have a T shirt on their wall they are selling with a funny 1 star review that said the churros were good, so we had to try them! They are obviously homemade, and so are the dipping sauces. We devoured that whole plate so quickly, leaving nothing but sugar crumbs. They were soft, yet crunchy and so sweet. The guava sauce was surprisingly so good and was my favorite dipping sauce. They even took the churros off our tab, which surprised us and was so sweet telling us happy Cinco de Mayo and thank you for celebrating with them!

I highly recommend this place! It's such a cool hole in the wall! The vibe was amazing. Everyone was just enjoying the good food and drinks. They have plenty of seating outdoor and indoor. And the staff are quick to greet you and get your food out! We had the best night here and can't wait...

Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5

Ummmm why has it taken me so long to check out this place?!?! I've spoken to several people who recommended PigLatin for great drinks and food and, for whatever reason, I just never made it over there.

Well, that ended last night. I had family visiting from out of town and decided that we'd come here for dinner and drinks. With happy hour being from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., I figured we could catch the tail end of it if we got there at 5 and then enjoy dinner after.

It was a bit smaller than I expected with tables and bar seating for about 40 people inside and another 30 outside. The outside seats had heaters which made them a lovely option during the cooler months

We were taken care of by Ryan who went above and beyond to ensure our entire party of 5 was happy. He even accommodated a request to sit elsewhere bc my mom couldn't manage on the bar stools and got us seated at a table with chairs.

The "happy hour" only applies to the house margarita, which I was a bit disappointed by but got over very quickly when I tried the house margaritas and LOVED them (I think I had 3).

I ordered the yuca fries and chicharron for the table and LISTEN when I tell you the family unit just couldn't stop eating either. We ended up ordering two more rounds of these tasty sides and I vowed to myself that I'd be back to enjoy these more frequently (starting next week!).

The family ordered an assortment of food and all enjoyed their meals from the empanadas to the pork chops and the chimi shrimp tacos. The portions were large enough that they were all filled and we were able to bring home some leftovers. The fact that my CARIBBEAN family loved the culinary experience is a testament to how well seasoned the food was. The only critique was that the empanadas were too salty.

I think I'm going to become a regular at this spot because I think I've found my new foodie home. See ya in a few...

I will admit, it seems that our experience last night was not typical. When we arrived, the gentleman working the bar was the only person making drinks, taking orders, serving and cleaning. He was doing a great job until a few more groups of customers came in. Thankfully, we are very understanding customers when we see someone doing their absolute best but...I will give an honest review.

I ordered a mango margarita, since it was "happy hour" and was served a "spicy" margarita. Not a huge deal as it was still delicious and STRONG but, it was incorrect.

We ordered an empanada and were presented with the smallest, undercooked little ball of dough with some ground beef inside. It was really dissapointing. Sent it back and traded for another taco. The gentleman working was very apologetic and understanding.

I ordered Caribbean Nachos, which are always amazing, but mine came out with maybe 5 plantain chips around the bowl and then within minutes I saw the customer next to me be served the same nachos with twice the amount of plantain chips around his bowl.

we enjoyed churros at the end of our meal but they, too, were undercooked and soggy. We were presented with two normal looking churros and then a big pile of stacked, soggy dough on the plate. I wish I would have gotten a photo but, even as a mess on the plate our children grabbed them and ate them.

Overall, this place seemed to be struggling last night. The restaurant was busy but food was NOT on point. It also seemed that the two guys cooking/preparing the food in the kitchen did a lot of standing around while your front of the house guy was running around like crazy. Id say this place needs better organization and more workers. Also, get your fryer under control. Or better training...

We were looking for a quick late lunch / early dinner and decided to try Piglatin Cocina. I am very glad we did! We started with their signature Margarita. It was a little small but also not filled to the brim with ice. It was the right mix of sweet and tart with a salty rim. For our meal I had the OG Stacked Arepa (gluten free). It was packed with flavor! The crispy arepa with a soft interior, topped with sweet pork and stringy mozzarella cheese, barely noticeable spinach (although my immune system thanked me for eating it) and spicy sriracha made for a perfectly delectable bite. If you are not a fan of spicy food, I would recommend asking for the sriracha lite or on the side. I wanted to try one of the tacos and chose the Guava Lava Chicken (gluten free). I ate this second and I was very glad I did! This taco was SPICY! I would order it again and absolutely eat it last. I like spicy food (medium - hot is my preference) and this was hot - hot. Before the heat took over, I could tell the texture was delightful and the flavor was delicious. My husband had the Piglatin Plate (gluten free). It was savory, salty and sweet. The amount of food was just right for a lunch portion. He also had the Yuca wedges (gluten free - although fried in the same oil as gluten containing foods). They were ok and a nice side but he would likely try something else next time. TL;DR - The Street Tacos and Plates are all gluten free or can be made gluten free. The sides are fried in the same oil as the empanadas.
