I just made my first trip here today and it was INCREDIBLE. The coffee cake, vanilla cake, and cinnamon roll came home with me, and even my gluten eating family members couldn’t stop eating my treats! I also tried the flatbread and dinner rolls. They were both fantastic as well. The owners are so helpful and answered all my questions! I would highly recommend for anyone with severe food allergies (they even ask that you not bring other food into the bakery to eliminate cross contamination risk). I’m already planning my next drive from Denver to Colorado Springs just to stock up!

Also, I saw some people questioning their prices, and quality ingredients made from real food are not cheap. Are their ready made items more expensive than a fast food chain? Sure. Is healthy/allergen-safe food cheaper than prescription meds or a trip to the doctor? In my experience, yes.

A GI attack for someone with celiac is excruciating and can land you in the ER. Anaphylaxis from a nut allergy is life threatening. I believe a few extra dollars is worth avoiding those situations. Plus, if you’ve ever tried gluten free/dairy free/egg free baking from scratch in your kitchen, you’ll learn quickly that the extra expense is worth your time and frustration too. I know firsthand the heart break of throwing recipe fails away after blowing your grocery budget on specialty ingredients. Trust me, let the pros do it! Thank you, Sweet...

It's really hard to find vegan restaurants anywhere, so it's good to know that Colorado Springs is home to Sweet Elizabeth's Organics. It's bright, quirky  and homey, with a mission to bring healthy, delicious food that's free of the Top 8 Allergens and Gluten-Free (they do use coconut). Natasha, the manager, was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable of what they offered. They offer both a cafe and bakery menu, as well as cakes for special occasions (ask to see the menu). My husband ordered the Soup of the Day (Butternut Squash) with a rosemary-garlic roll, plus waffles topped with coconut whipped cream and maple syrup; I had the lentil hummus sandwich with coleslaw, plus waffles topped with coconut whipped cream and strawberry compote. The food was fresh, light, and not bogged down with overwhelming amounts of salt, sugar, or dairy like most cafes. We finished all of it. With the amount of food we ordered, you'd think we walk out with a belly ache. Instead we walked out feeling full yet light. We even bought baked goods for the road. They use fresh organic ingredients and make all their goodies by hand right there in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who has allergen/gluten concerns and everyone looking into a plant-based diet. Will be...

We were in from out of town and so excited to find a bakery that is allergy friendly and vegan!

It was the first time my daughter was able to go into a bakery and told she could pick from ANYTHING. That experience is pretty incredible.

We stayed a week so we tried quite a few things.

What we liked best: the cinnamon rolls and their frosting. Thay was one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had! My husband who doesn't have allergies agreed that it was awesome!

I had the cold pressed coffee chocolate cake and that frosting was also absolutely delicious. My daughter LOVED the strawberry frosting on her Cupcake.

Things that weren't as great: the cakes themselves weren't very flavorful. They weren't bad, just could have used a flavor boost. When I have chocolate cake, I want it to be really chocolate!

Also, we got a loaf of bread. It was alright, but really crumbly and didn't do well in our toaster. Despite following directions to place it in a zip lock in the fridge, it was pretty dry and crumbly by day 3. Again, not terrible. Just not something I would get again.

We will definitely be back if we come through town again for a huge box of...

Sweet Elizabeth’s Organics is an ALLERGY friendly bakery and cafe located in the heart of Colorado Springs. They're a gluten free, dairy free, egg free and free of all top 8 allergens minus coconut. Not only is the food amazing, but the owners Scott and Elizabeth are some of the kindest people you will meet. They love connecting with their customers and hearing stories about what led them on their health journey whether it was simply to be healthier or from chronic health issues. They put a whole new meaning to great customer service. So next time you're in Colorado Springs, make sure you stop in get yourself a treat and say hi. Even if you don't have any food allergies or restrictions, you will not be disappointed. Oh and their cinnamon rolls are the BEST. People come from all over just to get them. #rootlessliving #nomads #minimalist #rvlife #rvfamily #rvlifestyle #travel #fulltimerv #rvtravel #adventure #explore #rv #rvliving #roadtrip #fulltimefamilies #cleaneating #eatclean #healthy #naturalremedies #holistichealth #glutenfree #vegan #foodasmedicine

Entering at lunchtime they were clearly busy. The greeting was a bit like the lady was just waiting for is to tell her our order. The food is free of the top 9 allergens and they take this very seriously which is why we came and to support a small business. We were excited to try the chicken and waffle from the website as few places in town have gluten free waffles. The waffle was dry and the chicken strips were a bit overdone. They had just changed the menu from chicken as a protein to turkey but it is organic so thought would give it a try in a sweet potatoe with slaw and avacado bowl. The turkey sausage or crumble was dry and overcooked. I believe the slaw was vinegar based which was good. The sweet potatoes part was moist and sweet. I wanted to experience the flavors individually but in hindsight I think if I mixed it all together I would have liked it better. On a separate visit the chocolate raspberry cake was moist and delicious!! I took a while to write this because of the mixed experiences and wanting to be fair and helpful to the business and it's customers.

The place was very warm and inviting, but that was quickly met by a very dry and uninviting staff. I’m guessing it’s the owner. I told her it was my first time in before and she just stared at me. I wasn’t too familiar with all of the options, so I said I was vegan. She just pointed to the case with the product very coldly. Hesitantly, I’d driven far enough so I bought maybe 4 items to try because I love pumpkin. I took one bite of the pumpkin chocolate chip bread and had to spit it out. Either the baking soda or powder or something was majorly off. It was so bad. I tried next the coffee cake. Equally as bad. I threw away those 3 items. I should have read the reviews first because I even left a tip. I’m out about $25. Unfortunately there aren’t places being vegan that I can go to outside Of AZ so far that taste good. I’m really bummed. I should’ve left when she was so cold and uninviting.
