Blackjack Pizza & Salads — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

UPDATE on Aug 27: Blackjack Pizza requested I forward my complaint to their corporate email. This was ultimately a waste of my time as I never got a response, an apology, a refund for what I didn't get... nothing. I suppose they were just putting on a show for anyone that might read this review.

This was my favorite pizza place! 😢 Placed an order on June 7, 2024 at 4:06pm for a small deep dish cheese bread with double pepperoni and a small pan pizza with garlic and olive oil sauce, basil, and double pepperoni. After 90 minutes, we called the store to get a status update on our delivery. They claimed they delivered it to us - I could hear the driver in the background say that the person he delivered to waved from the window - but no one came to our unit and nothing was left on our porch. They agreed to remake our order and send it to us. I gave them verbal instruction on how to find my unit and description of what I'm wearing so the driver can confirm that they're giving the order to the correct person this time. The order made it to us the second time, but not only did neither item have double pepperoni, they barely had any pepperoni at all. By then I had to go to work so I wouldn't be able to deal with it until today. I'd have let it go if toppings weren't so expensive and money weren't so tight. I called the store today (June 8, at 1:47pm) to see if they'd be willing to either give us what we ordered, even if only discounted, or refund what we spent on the toppings. I'd have even accepted a coupon for like 10% off my next order. Instead of receiving any sort of customer service, the person I spoke with on the phone stated that she believed that I'm lying, that she believes I received both deliveries and that I just don't know what double pepperoni looks like. So now I've tipped $5 for a two hour delivery and paid $3.50 for toppings I didn't get. This was my favorite pizza place. Now I don't think I could ever...

(NO RESPONSE means they couldn't care less about customer "service," to which they should be committed. That is frightening.) I'm a disabled senior and when I can afford it, I order what I consider a treat from either Blackjack or Domino's, with Blackjack as my favorite go-to because their salads are fantastic--somewhat addictive--and their wings are larger than the other guy's. HOWEVER, things have changed and I won't be ordering from Blackjack anymore. My last and most recent order for 8 wings with one of their salads was a great disappointment. For the first time ever, they cheated me by sending 2 drumettes and 6 flat wing pieces. My hope was they would at least respond to my complaint I sent via their corporate website, but it's been several days and not a word from anyone. Domino's responds quickly and has much better customer service, and even though their wings are a fraction in size by comparison, I'll be sticking with them. We are only visiting COS for a few short days after traveling very far, well jet lag kicked in… so a pizza and movie night in it was!

Blackjack popped up as a pizza delivery place close by to our airbnb and with great reviews to boot so we gave it a try and I’m happy to review it did not disappoint!!

Ordering online was a breeze, and I appreciated you could tip on your card in advance. The menu is a decent size with lots of options, but not too overwhelming. Delivery was very fast and everything arrived hot!

FYI! this a a delivery or carryout only in case you’ve never had it before like us.

Wow! Is an understatement! The crust is what makes these so tasty! It’s the perfect consistency of fluffy, chewy, and a light crisp! Some of the best pizza and cheese sticks we’ve had in a long time! Finally a pizza delivery place that doesn’t skimp on toppings as you can see.

Highly recommend if you’re visiting from out of state and need a quick dinner delivered!
