Great pizza my go to for pizza in Black Forest! Unfortunately this will most likely be my last time. I highly recommend that you give extra time over the quoted time. I called an order in on a Friday evening and was quoted 30 to 35 mins. Had a family member picking up the order on the way home. He arrived about 7 mins early and they told him that there was no order for the name, after searching they found the order but told him that it would be another 25 to 30 mins to complete. Ok we are human and mistakes are made.... no problem paid for the meal over the phone just refund my money and just make something quick at home. He calls me and I am on the phone with him and up to this point I was ok I would order there again. The manager/ owner? Started getting upset at my Father telling him that he was too early that she wasn't going to refund because of this and that so on and so forth. She demands to talk to me and tells me that I am wrong that I called only mins before that moment and it was going to be 15 mins! They already made the items and were going to throw them in the oven. She proceeded to tell me the time I called and that I was wrong. I tried to explain that the info that I received was that the order was lost or not placed and that they could start it but 25 to 30 mins to complete. I was unable to convey the info because she continued to talk over me. Ok! I said 15 mins and the meal is done? Yes she says. Ok make it... she gives the order to the kitchen and says he will have it in 15 mins I say thank you and she hangs up. We all get busy stressed and have bad days I worked in a grocery store and dealt with all the same problems. The one thing I learned from there that I would like to pass on is the customer is not always right but whats $35 today when a customer spends way in a month, a year? You might lose a little today but now when I think of pizza it won't be pies and grinders, or if I do I will remember this day and maybe I tell my friends... 2020 has been terrible and I want to support all the local and small businesses but I won't spend my money where I am made to feel like I am totally wrong where misinformation is given by employees. I am sorry that this happened and I hope that it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Changing my original 5 star review because of my experience today. Ordered a Garden Salad with the crispy chicken added on like I do pretty much every week for lunch, picked it up, looked good. Mixed the ranch in and all the toppings, took a giant bite, only to discover that the mozzarella cheese was spoiled. Spent then next 5 minutes in the office bathroom trying not to vomit. I called the restaurant up, and tole the younger guy who answered, Matthew I think it was, what happened. He simply said "okay. We can make you a new one with parmesan instead " as that was their only batch of mozzarella, so I said sure, that I'd be there in 10. I showed up 15 minutes later, they hadn't started it yet and the older man working the register asked me "how it was going ", so I told him I was there for the remade salad, which he seemed to know nothing about. So they made the salad for me again, was there about 10 minutes waiting, when the younger guy brings it out and it has mozzarella on it again. He informed me it was a different batch, to which I hesitantly smelled it and taste tested it before leaving. I understand things happened, but the fact that he wasn't the least bit apologetic that they served someone spoiled cheese which is a health concern, and that he actually seemed annoyed that he had to remake it for me, and then forgot to remake it until I actually showed back up, is what made me change my review. No apology, no refund offered, no sympathy at all for the fact that I've spent 40 minutes total in drive time making 2 trips there and back during my lunch break and that they served poor quality food to someone. I just hope they weren't also using that cheese for any pizzas they made today.

Spontaneously stopped by for lunch with my family and was NOT disappointed. The food was amazing. We all ordered different stuff and it was all delicious and fresh. My favorite was the Stromboli!! Only downside we had was the young kid that took our order. He didn't greet us when we came in at all and was not friendly. It was our first time in so we had a few questions and he seemed bothered and didn't want to help or talk to us. The other older gentleman working definitely made up for him though. He was very kind and genuine he delivered our food and checked in a few times. Inside dining is older n little run down but overall would definitely recommend and would go back!

Spontaneously stopped by for lunch with my family and was NOT disappointed. The food was amazing. We all ordered different stuff and it was all delicious and fresh. My favorite was the Stromboli!! Only downside we had was the young kid that took our order. He didn't greet us when we came in at all and was not friendly. It was our first time in so we had a few questions and he seemed bothered and didn't want to help or talk to us. The other older gentleman working definitely made up for him though. This is my go-to place for pizza. It's locally owned in Black Forest and I don't have to drive into Colorado Springs or Monument. If I don't have pizza I usually get an Italian sausage sandwich. The sausage is sourced locally and the bread is delicious.

Update 12/7/19 I used to love this place ( and originally rated it 5 stars ) but it seems that things have gone down hill over last 6 months or so. Today, 12/7/19, I placed a pick up order and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. When I arrived 20 minutes later I was told it would be another 10 minutes. Ok, that happens. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I asked again and was told it wasn't ready. I waited another 5-10 minutes and finally received my food. No explanation and no apology. Unfortunately, this has happened several other times in the past. That is why I dropped the rating from 5 stars 6 months ago to 2 stars now.

Not sure I am going to waste my time here again.

Update 4/21/20 Ordered two sandwiches with fries and a garden salad on the app. Arrived at the appropriate time but was told that it would be another 5 minutes on the sandwiches. 10 minutes later I got the food and left.

Sandwiches were ok, (nothing special) the lettuce in the salad was frozen and the fries were dry and almost too tough to eat. Obviously they had been sitting around for a long time.

This is the last time I have wasted my time and money with these people. Sad when what was a great place goes down...
