Mi Ranchito Mexican Restaurant “The Original” — Restaurant in Colorado

I felt the need to leave a review.my family and I live in the county and have been long time customers of this establishment. We came in tonight and it was PACKED. The waiters did a great job and handling such a large crowd with only 3 servers. Some people next to us were very impatient and rude to our wait staff which is why I’m leaving a review. The booth directly behind us was calling the waiter a B word and that they would not be leaving her a tip. I heard the entire conversation. The waiter simply informed them that they can’t take stuff off the buffet unless they are gonna pay for the buffet. They wanted free items basically simply because they are “regulars”. The poor waiter was telling them politely and they continued to do it. I could tell my waiter was on the verge of tears because of how poorly they treated her for doing her job. She was amazing to me and my family and I left her a 50$ tip to cover the no tip from the booth behind me. If you’re reading this(rude booth by window in the corner) I really hope you learn to treat people better especially when they are doing their job. Expecting free items and lashing out on the waiter for simply not allowing that and risking her employment is cruel. I heard it all and she was nothing but polite to you guys despite your awful attitude she remained very professional and for that I am impressed. The other waitstaff was doing great and constantly running back and forth to accommodate the large crowd which is not easy. My family has been coming here for a very long time including my cousins, siblings and parents and we’ve worked directly with this restaurant supplying them chile. We always have amazing cuisine and service. It’s a bummer when Karen customers act so negatively to people. We will always support this restaurant and they have the best chile in town! Sincerely a long time supporter. The manager always treats us with respect and kindness. I was gonna talk to her about what I overheard before we left but she was very busy with all the tables and I totally understand. Luckily it didn’t ruin our good dinner tonight and my family and I loved the tacos we devoured. We ordered 18 tacos and they were done very quickly. Well we walk in the door the waitress who waited on us was leaning against the counter and did not say hi, How are you nothing "sit where you want" ok so we sat down in a dirty booth there was crumbs all over the booth seat, but the other tables were either occupied or nor cleared from the other guest and we wanted a booth. So we order we used a cook and another waiter to help us as my wife is more fluent in spanish. So i get the nachos and she gets the buffet. My nachos are very hot. The plate was cold. I am thinkng now I might be wrong but they microwaved the chips than from a holding warmer the sauce and beef were poured over them. Than they added the sour cream and lettuce next to that. So we are trying to check out. The wsitress did not even check on us or nothing. The male waiter got us the to go box . The wife went to the car ti roll the windows down and cool off the car. The bored. Not feeling well . New waitress finally comes over (I was actually standing next to the booth for 10 minutes) asked for my check. The male waiter also came by after she left to retrieve the "ticket" and he said he would go help her get the check. 7 more minutes go by. Instead of bringing the check she comes over says he has it up there. So i go and pay and the register. I told him he was doing a good job as he was hustling doing his job and others not so much. He said he was trying to help her because she was new. And not feeling well. it was 23 dollars I left a 4 dollar tip to him but she should not be there . So between the nachos that were not that good. The service which needed two people to serve us because she was new and not feeling well and very unattentive. I would not recommend this place . So this is the second visit and unfortunately the same server. The first time my wife and I went I got the buffet which was serving enchiladas and I ordered 2 over medium eggs on the side. Our waitress never brought my eggs and I ate 2 plates and never brought our tortillas or even got us a refill on our drink.We ate but totally unsatisfied with the service. Good food though. So yesterday my wife and I decided to try it again and we took my mom and her old man for Mexican Mother's Day. We got the same short sweaty over makeuped little waitress again. My mom had never been there so she asked a question about a plate and the waitress answered. Well my mom decided she wanted something different after the answer so after five seconds of looking the waitress tells my mom she's busy and has stuff to do so I had to step in and say no she's ready to order. After that this chick avoided us. Never brought my tortillas again, never got us refills, my mom and her old man's plate never came out after I had 2 servings again at the buffet and when I flagged the waitress down I asked for a refill and she replied let me see if it's ready then I watched her go to the cooks window ask about the food where there looked to be confusion and then she proceeded to punch the order in on the computer. At this point we were fed up. We paid for the 2 buffets and the drinks and left. Probably won't go back untill they learn how to train.
