I visited on Sunday, Sept. 30th around 1 p.m. I sat down at a table behind the bar to watch the Rockies and some football. I waited 20 minutes and nobody asked me if I wanted anything. Finally, I went up to the bar and asked the bartender (medium height, long blonde hair) if there was a waitress for the table I was at. She raised her hand and said it was her. I was surprised because I know she saw me sit down and looked at me periodically, but never bothered to come over and greet me and asked for my order. I ordered right then, and she took another 10+ minutes to even ring it in or begin to get my drink. Meanwhile, a guy sat down right next to me and she asked him if he wanted a beer right away and brought it to him right away. I watched for a little bit to see how she reacted to other females, and sure enough it looked like the guys got taken care of right away, she even spent time holding conversations with them, while I sat and waited for the drink I ordered 15 mins. ago. The guy next to me was on his 3rd tall beer by the time I could get her attention to ask for a re-fill of my mimosa. I would've ordered more food and drinks, but I wasn't about to wait another 20 minutes for my drink and watch the guy next to me get served right away. I paid my check and left and went across the street to The Rail, where the bartender was very friendly and was able to serve me within a couple minutes. IF they were so busy, why was there only 1 bartender? Maybe another (2nd) bartender is in order on a Sunday morning/afternoon if the 1 bartender can only find time to serve men.
However, I will say that I went on a Thursday night, and the bartender that night I absolutely adored!!! (Kaylee or Kylene maybe?). She has blonde hair as well, but usually works with a brunette with glasses and they are both SO friendly and seem like they treat all their customers equally.
Next time I walk in and see the bartender I had on that Sunday afternoon, I'm going to walk right out because it isn't worth my time to sit there...
Read moreI would not be able to recommend this place. Came in there to have a few beers and I have been there before but its been a while. Service has really gone down. First off, no host/hostess and no sign that says please seat yourself. I stood at the front door for about 10 min before I had to find a server and ask about seating. Then as I walked around the avail tables were dirty. I sat at a dirty table and waited. Then I sat there for 15 min before any of the servers even asked me for a drink order. In fact one server had seen me and even sat down at another table and was flirting with the male guest at the table to where I thought I had made a mistake and she didn't work there however, when she got up and went in the back and came out with food I realized she was just ignoring me. I had to stop another server who had walked by several times and who was at least working and not flirting to ask who my server was. She got my beer order, but they delivered the beer and sat it on the still dirty table. I would have left but I had come early and my friend was on his way. What really stuck in my craw was that after having to ask twice for them to clear the table, after being ignored, and getting basiclly no service my friend arrived and wouldnt you know it, the minute he sits down the server who was flirting with the other guy, who did not get me my beer or clear our table comes running right over and gets his beer order in less than 30 seconds. Service was of course fine after that. Food was bar food, not horrible but nothing remarkable. Lesson I learned....don't be a single female and come to this bar. You won't get good service and are treated like a 2nd class citizen. Oh and if the server who served us on sunday, long blonde hair reads this...I was very...
Read moreKaty was our waitress and it is clear she shouldn’t be a waitress and that she doesn’t have a desire to be here. She cannot handle orders with any alterations to the original menu item. She just puts in the order how she wants it to be and hopes for the best- even if there is a dairy allergy she will not even notice that cheese is on the burger. Fine if she makes a mistake, but when kindly confronted she couldnt even apologize for her mistake and seemed frustrated that we made her remake it. Another small item - I asked for water when we first sat down - I had to walk to the bar to actually get the water- my waitress then starts making jokes and laughing about the fact that I had to walk to the bar to get the water and again she still did not take any responsibility for her lack of job performance- she was still mad at us for her mistake. So ....we get the bill and still no accountability. No offer to take care of us- no offer to comp the burger that came out after my meal was already gone. I recognize that this is a first world problem but it is very clear when someone isn’t good at a job and doesn’t care if they give someone crappy service and incorrect food for their hard earned money. We really enjoyed coming to this place for their usually yummy burgers but I am sure we will not return. I guess I should have listened when about 25 of my coworkers warned me not to come to on the Rox....they probably had Katy for a waitress. It will be a matter of time before they go out of business. A little kindness goes a...
