On June 30, 2025, my party of 12, including my wife, kids and grand kids were seated in the outdoor patio at 12:50 pm. We ordered our drinks and ordered 4 pizzas. At 1:30pm our 1st pizza showed up, and our female server told us that our other 3 pizzas would arrive “very soon”. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, at 2:10 pm, the remainder of our order had (still) not arrived. After sitting and waiting, our grand kids and all of us had given up on receiving our order, so I told the server, that I wanted to pay for what we did receive, our drinks and the 1 of 3 pizzas that we did receive. Our server again told me that the remainder of our pizza order would be ready “very soon”. I told her “no” I just want to pay for what we received and leave. She said, “I’m sorry, but we are short staffed”, and sorry but, and rattled off more excuses. When I paid, and even tipped her, she said, “I think you are rude”. My suggestion to everyone, don’t patronize Paradise Pizzeria & Ice Creamery at...
Read moreI think that people who give this place one star reviews have overly high expectations. This is not a San Francisco, New York, Chicago or big city restaurant. There are very limited options for dining at Purgatory and they suffer from the lack of labor and inconsistent patronage patterns. You have Purgy's, Nugget, Olde Schoolhouse and Paradise. Let me know if I missed anyone. I eat at Paradise once a year and like that they still are in business. I give them one star for being open, one star for doing table service instead of counter service and one star for a very nice patio and an additional star just to counter the one star reviews. I always order pizza and the middle is always soft, some might say soggy, but most of it is good. I suggest that Paradise copy the pizza process from Olde Schoolhouse which is much better. They also have a good beer menu, but unfortunately there were out of many of them at...
Read moreI came to Paradise recently, and was slightly disappointed when one employee told us they were closing... at 5:00pm. Despite the website CLEARLY stating that on thekitchen closes at earliest 8:00pm. But I’m giving a four star review, aren’t I?
Because of the man Terry, this isn’t a low rating: he came out of the kitchen and told us quite bluntly that they’re NOT closing at 5, and that they were going to stay open. Terry sat us down and gave us our drinks, menus, and plates.
We heard arguments in the kitchen between Terry and some other employee, (go Terry!) meanwhile a waiter came and took our order.
Everything past that was great; The pizza was well cooked, the tables were clean drinks were good...
All in all, Paradise is an excellent restaurant, with good food, the only lacking aspect is the lacking of friendly and professional employees.
If more were like ‘grey-haired’ Terry, this would be 5...
