This location should be nothing but successful as it has no competition in for "Mexican food." Yet despite reopening and seemingly finding it's feet the old problems crop back up. Food quality itself is not horrible, the ability to accurately make an order is extremely suspect and I would say 2/5ths of my orders have issues. I suspect that the people they hire for food prep are, in fact, illiterate and that is why they cannot build the orders accurately. This compounded with indifferent management and this location enters a death spiral.
This week they could not accept credit cards which is another tell that mis-management is plaguing this location.
I would say the location is generally clean, when I pick up tables are tidy, but YMMV.
If you have to use this location, order via app or website. They'll screw up and you can re-compensated via this means of ordering. It is only one nail in a coffin the new ownership has put this franchise location in.
Looks like all the gang bangers that worked there have found somewhere else to be. The location is slow, even with no other customers it took a long time to get my order via the app.
Food is back to ok, which is about all one can expect. This location is cursed. Even with a full staff they are completely disorganized and sloppy. They have gotten my order correct 2/6 times. The staff is indifferent to rude and seems to not understand their job is to deliver food fast (e.g. fast food).
Not that any Taco Bell is going to win awards for atmosphere but the staff makes it toxic by not being able to do their jobs and orders stacking up.
The place will implode inside of a year.
Open again with new ownership
What is the best restaurant to replace a Taco Bell that was a rollercoaster of failure for years... you guessed it; another Taco Bell.
I ordered online and picked up as I figured the drive thru would be stacked as it was during the PM rush. I was right. They had some problems figuring out how to get my order to me waiting at the counter and the lead had a hard time figuring out I needed a drink despite it being on my order...and I discovered they got my drink wrong. I'll chock that up to just opened hiccups.
That said it was portioned right and on point for Taco Bell.
Welcome back, let's see how long this honeymoon lasts.
Back to open and its mediocre fare. Can this location stay open? It randomly closed down, no idea if temporary or not? The next closest one (Quebec & County Line) is also not a great location, FWIW. Anyways, 1 star till they get their act together (which may be never).
What is old is new.
New problem: portion sizes are now microscopic half the time.
Newer problem: they lost connection to the internet? Cannot order online.
This location is open again and apparently the entire staff was fired. A new crew working tonight. They were efficient and polite... and no screwups with my order.
Back to 3 stars, because this franchise is such a darn rollercoaster. But there is upside.
The notable thing about this location is that they find new ways to screw up. Ordered on the app. Got the notification my the order was received and I could head there... only to find the restaurant closed because they do not have hot water.
Likely code for wanting to smoke weed and not work.
Which is a shame, other than a sorta sad Subway they have no real competition in the SE corner of...
Read moreThe person taking our order was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive. From the moment we tried to order on the drive thru, he was incredibly dismissive when we told him we couldn’t hear him. There was zero customer service and when we told him that we couldn’t hear him, he didn’t care. He never said sorry for the inconvenience and he did not show any recognition of us as customers, never once saying thank you for our business. He slammed the window on us. He claimed we cursed at him, when in fact, we cursed about frustration about our order. When we asked for a manager, he became very combative and acted like he wanted to fight. He was not willing to listen to our concerns as customers. We asked for a manger, but they said there was no manager that spoke English. My wife did a good job trying to explain our frustration in Spanish, but the language barrier was just too much to truly come to an understanding. Everyone else in the restaurant wanted to remedy the situation, but that is hard when no one speaks English and there is one employee (the one causing the issue) that will not listen. The “manager” tried very hard to remedy the situation. She used broken English (along with my wife’s rusty Spanish) and truly tried to calm her employee and fix the situation. It really was just one employee that ruined the experience. I even calmed down and tried to explain what we were so upset about, but he would not listen. He became combative again, to the point of wanting to fight. We tried to explain why we were upset, but he became very defensive and combative again. He tried to tell us where he was from and that we didn’t “want anything”. This is a Taco Bell in our neighborhood and we are upset that a worker was SO rude and cared nothing about our experience.
This is upsetting because we were really excited to see this location open again after months and months after being closed. Whoever the new owner is REALLY needs to train their employees on customer service. And probably have a manager on site that can effectively communicate...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with Taco Bell tonight. Spent $40 and 90 minutes and left with nothing. My family and I were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience, especially since it was the first time we were ordering for our son, who recently started enjoying their food.
Ordered through the kiosk, selected an email receipt, but never received it. Waiting for our food was unbearable as drive-through orders took priority. The explanation that drive-through employees couldn’t assist with dine-in orders was frustrating, especially when there were several employees just waiting and chatting by the drive-through window.
After a 40-minute wait inside, with a 1-year-old and a 5-year-old who just had surgery the day before, in a desperate attempt to expedite, I went through the drive-through, facing unwarranted hostility. An employee claimed our order was remade three times, which was confusing since there was a restaurant full of people waiting for their first order, including us.
The situation escalated with them calling the police, and the manager refusing a refund because he insisted on having a physical receipt, even though the kiosk only gave me three options: email, text, or no receipt. Since no crime occurred, the police could not help with a refund, leaving us out $40.44 and my family without food.
This Taco Bell has some very rude employees and is willing to waste police resources to cover their mistakes. The unhelpful manager and rude employee have lost Taco Bell...
