We stopped in for a late lunch on a Sunday. There were lots of Harley riders there, along with mix of others, and the main restaurant area was very loud due to the music (no band, just the house music. We ate in the back area because it was quieter, but it was also colder. We asked our server, TJ, for some recommendations after reviewing the menu for a few minutes. Among the four of us, we ordered a wide variety of items, including: Smoked Turkey (1/4 lb)--very nice, but bathed in too much sauce; Smoked Brisket (1/2 lb)--very good, but fell apart almost like pot roast, and also bathed in way too much sauce; Birria Style Tacos--very, very tasty with great corn tortillas, but also very greasy; Crispy Chicken Tenders--served with fries, good, but not special; Crispy Brussel Sprout--very good, but once again, bathed is way too much sauce; Mac 'N Cheese Regular--good, not great, slightly pasty rue, would be better if more creamy; Smoked Ribeye Dip--solid sandwich, but includes caramelized onions and a horseradish sauce, so be mindful of that if you are not a fan of those add-ons; Brisket Burnt Ends (1/2 lb)--nice mix of fatty and lean nuggets, but absolutely drowning in sauce; Basket Parm Truffle Fries--very good, but perhaps a little heavy on the truffle oil; Basket Tots--crispy and delicious. TJ was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and also attentive to our table. Overall, the food was great but my strong suggestion would be to back way off on flooding all the dishes in sauces. I'd use about 10% as much as they use, and then add a side of extra sauce for the customer to add to taste. Total bill including one beer and one soft drink was $155, so not particularly cheap. I recommend this establishment, but would highly recommend getting all your sauces...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. I really did. BUT.. When I got there, all of the tables in the band stage area were reserved. One party was seated, the rest of them were empty. We had to sit outside on the patio, which was pretty windy, which I didnât appreciate. Then, some of the worst service Iâve ever encountered in recent history. Took forever to take our order, then when our order was taken my wife requested a plate from the food runner. The food runner never brought the plate back. Nobody ever came to check on our food, which we ended up eating, even though the onion rings were burnt to a crisp. But apparently, nobody cared. After about 45 minutes our server came back to see if we wanted another round of drinks, but nobody at all asked how our food was. I couldnât have even complained about the burned onion rings if I tried. Especially with their prices the size they are, you would think they would take a little bit more pride and care about their customers. Nope. Not even the guy wearing the red shirt that appeared to be management , he seemed in different and was too busy talking to two other tables for a total of about 15 minutes during our visit to pay attention to any of his other customers.
Anyway, bottom line. I think Iâll stick to my normal places in Parker, itâs not worth the drive for horrible service, and subpar food at high prices.
Edit- Thank you for the prompt response Todd- that means a lot, I appreciate that you actually read the reviews and care! We will be back in the near future to give you another shot, we all have days when things arenât anywhere near 100%! I gave you back 3 stars for the...
Read moreThe wide open saloon has been known for its political affiliations, which as a business. They are absolutely welcome to do. Theyâre very patriotic. In fact before every band plays everyone stands for the Pledge of Allegiance. Itâs very cool. But whatâs not cool is that theyâre allowing a group known as momâs for liberty to hold their meeting there on September 17 at 6:30 PM. M4L Has been classified as a group by the southern poverty law center. They are anti-governments and in fact their new president is a state representative part of the government. She is planning on using her government position to ban books that she disagrees with. The wide open saloon is famous for celebrating freedom and being an American. Banning books is the most unAmerican thing one could ever do. The wide open is siding with politicians who want to ban things like sexy Motorcycle gal calendars. They want to ban T-shirts featuring women in bikinis on them, but thatâs half the people that actually go to the wide-open saloon.! Please join us and asking the wide open to cancel this groups use of their facility because they are fascists And theyâre trying to take away all of our freedoms. Seriously, who bans a book? The leaders of momâs for liberty, thatâs who. Thatâs what theyâre famous for so please, wide open. Before itâs too late. Cancel this event. Youâre better than this. These people are not Americans. Hosting them is the furthest thing from patriotism, you could ever do.after theyâre done harassing the gays, the next thing theyâre going to do is harass bike members. Your customers. Donât let this happen....
