Addison's - South — Restaurant in Columbia

First time customer celebrating my birthday. Definitely will never go there again. Boyfriend ordered a medium cooked steak and mojito fries. I got the burger with double bacon and barbecue horseradish sauce and mojito fries. Server was training a new server. They were slow but I’m a patient person. You have to practice to learn. Both of our meals came out cold. My cheese was not melted. The bacon was refrigerator cold just like the onion straws. The steak was so cold and not bloody at all and the butter wouldn’t even melt. The fries on both plates had absorbed all the mojito oil and were cold. The server made it sound like you had to love cilantro (which we do) to like the fries. They had such a light dusting of dried cilantro I couldn’t even notice it. They were literally just extra greasy fries. The manager’s solution was to reheat the steak and burger patty. And believe it or not, they brought out the reheated steak and the butter still wouldn’t melt. The steak was extremely tough. I couldn’t believe they attempted to reheat a steak. Isn’t that like serving left overs? My burger must have been put back on the grill on the side that had no cheese because the unmelted cheese remained. It had none of the special sauce. After having to prove to the server that the sauce was missing from my burger by showing her both buns, she did bring me a tiny cup of it. After receiving our reheated leftovers, the manager stopped by. His response to the butter still not melting was “I just don’t get it”. Really? You don’t get that the food is still cold??? I’m expecting better service and for sure better food for the price. Will...

Let me start off by saying the service was fine no problems with the service, the hostesses were great the waitress was amazing couldn't complain about that. Now we did go in a big group there's probably like 20 of us ,and they did a really good job of handling that. The only problem is that we may have overwhelmed the kitchen. Me personally I've never eaten here before so I went safe with the BBQ chicken pizza ,figured it'd be easy to make for my first time there. My only exclusion on the order was no red onions. So everybody gets their food and everybody who got pizza didn't get theirs because we were told they were burned and they had to redo them. That's totally fine stuff like that happens , so when I got my pizza It definitely had the red onions on it, that's okay I can just pick them off, second thing was more on my part maybe my expectation of barbecue chicken pizza would be is not bread with massive Chicken chunks with cheese covering it they couldn't stay put together. I guess I was thinking maybe a shredded chicken pizza nice tight cheese you know like a normal Pizza. But this thing was just a slice with the chicken chunk and cheese. Super cool I'm going to eat it anyways but then the dough wasn't cooked. At that point I was like I'm just not going to eat it I have a very high tolerance to what I eat but it was just too many strikes and it could have just been this night. FINE CITY DINING ON AN AVERAGE TUESDAY

For this week’s exploit we enjoyed a late evening dinner at Addison’s South.

The first thing I noticed was the beautiful construction and interior decoration. The vibes were fine dining meets modern tavern. This restaurant features three sections: booths, collected tables,and a full bar featuring multiple flat screen TVs.

We were greeted by a hostess and taken to a booth. The booth section catered to couples and small family groups. I appreciated this since I was dining with my kids and Booths offer a more controlled environment. Nothing is more disruptive to EVERYONE than trying to keep a kid in the chair when trying to enjoy your meal.

In comparison, the tables section was FULL with well-dressed socializing adults. This is a kudos to the restaurant given this was a Tuesday evening, and location.

Assuming the plenitude of customers was a factor, when the food arrived we were more than ready to enjoy our meal. (Dining tip: If dining with the family, order appetizers and kids meals at the same time)

I ordered my steak medium and asparagus and IT WAS DELICIOUS. Eat with your eyes closed good. And I am picky about my steak. If I don’t like it I assume the cooks aren’t attentive to food preparation. But as you can tell from the photos presentation and flavor quality was Top Tier

Good job Addison's South I will be returning (for social dining) and can’t wait to try one of those exquisite sounding burgers!!!
