We stumbled upon this place on our vacation as we were just driving around. We arrived later after the normal lunch crowd time.....I told my husband I bet they will be out of brisket as it was almost 1PM..... and as with any good bbq place, it was sold out. We "settled" for the smoked chicken salad sandwich. OMG.... that was amazing!!! The chicken had great smokey flavor and was not overdressed. It was served on a pillowy soft hoagie with lettuce and tomato. I would come back every week for that, if I didnt live 1,400 miles away.... I also got a side of coleslaw which was delicious and the best I've ever had! It was crisp and cold and the dressing was more vinegar like with a kiss of mayo or creaminess.....not at all drowning in a flavorless mayo dressing. Dare I say it was actually a refreshing coleslaw.....bet it tastes great with the brisket that was sold out 😉. To top off the experience we received a slice of the homemade lemon cake! I am a sucker for anything lemon and this didnt disappoint. It was lemony and moist and not overly sweet! This place, as well as the owners and workers are one in a million. Delicious food and great personalities. As with any good bbq joint, I expect them to only be open for so many hours and to be sold out of product.... remember, smoking takes time.....and brisket is a 12+ hour preparation before it ends up on one's plate!! Was a great experience going here, meeting the owners and being able to enjoy their delicious smoked and homemade...

I was in town today as part of my quest to visit all 100 counties. I decided to stop in for lunch around noon. They were fairly busy but I still got my food within about 20 minutes. I ate in and was advised it would be about 20 minutes.

I took some recommendations and tried the street corn (which wasn't on the menu and a) along with my chopped pork sandwich. I also tried the lemonade with sangria (not alcoholic) flavoring.

The pork was cooked really well and the bun was decent. It was actually a little difficult to get the sauces because of the cups and the lids for the cups were on a wall that was not easy for the vertically challenged. But the sauces were good. I'd call them mild.

The street corn was essentially a pasta salad that could have used a little bit more flavor but was an intriguing option since they were out of coleslaw. Although there was a tiny amount of sample coleslaw, it seemed, with my meal which was quite delicious.

The lemonade was pretty solid. And the service was very kind. The location is nice and the bathrooms are clean. I would return!

Reasonable price and fairly easy to park and walk to enjoy the shops and waterfront as well. Stop at the visitor's...

We stopped on our way home from the beach with our 20 month old and our dog thinking it would be a quick meal to grab and go sit by the river for lunch. We ordered bbq and 2 plain burgers, beans, Mac and cheese, and fries. It took at least 45 minutes to get our food. Which is crazy assuming the bbq, Mac and cheese, and beans are prepared in bulk. And how long does it take to grill very tiny hamburger patties? Definitely not 45 minutes. Also sitting in a restaurant with a 20 month old with no food can be pretty rough! The food was fine. We could have made this at home and it would have tasted better. When my husband asked for a refund someone from the back confronted him and didn’t accept responsibility for the delay stating that the restaurant was full. It was not full when we arrived. I watched several different families get their food before we did and they arrived after us! They definitely knew the staff. Needless to say our...

5 for service and atmosphere. Staff was very attentive. Owner talked with everyone and truly cared about the dining experience. Clean and inviting atmosphere. 4 for the food only because they were serving a delicious Sunday buffet for the locals getting out of church, which is a good thing but no pork BBQ nor brisket was on the available menu. I am sure I will be coming back and I can change the 4 to a 5. Update on 11/25/2023: Changed food from a 4 to a 5. Chopped pork BBQ sandwich and brisket cheesesteak are excellent. Tender and tasty. Would probably give the service a 6 out of 5 if I could. Owner is certainly proud of what he provides to the community and to the patrons, but he has every right to be. It is evident that the community appreciates what he brings to the community based on the good size crowd during a non-tourist season.

I stopped in right at lunchtime, as to be expected, there was a line to the front door. The friendly staff moved efficiently through the line. 30 minutes from arrival until I left with a full belly. I opted for brisket cheesesteak with Mac and cheese and a sweet tea. With tip, it was $20. (Bring cash for the tip) This brisket will elevate your expectations of what you think good brisket is! No kidding! It is so good, I no longer even consider going anywhere else because I know I’ll be let down. From now on, just get in the truck and go to Stick Burning BBQ! Next visit, I’m trying the brisket nachos. Give them a follow, and they regularly post where the food truck will be too. You will not be disappointed!
