I’ll tell you why this place rocks …since spring 2019. It has to do with passion. We’ve come here twice so far. Both times, my wife and I went when nothing big was happening at TIEC - no crowds, easy seating. First time, March 2019, we sat at a table with another couple, one of them a discriminating Italian. All of us were positively struck by the flavors, freshness, presentation and service. My wife reported her Eggplant Parmesan entree was fabulous - this from an EP aficionado. The apps and entrees were delish for all 4 of us. 2nd time, April 2019, my wife and I sat at the bar and decided to test this chef’s depth - we splurged by going multi-course. Opening with an eggplant puree with whipped parmesan cheese (what?!), a definite theme of unique and scrumptious held up thru the glazed pork puff pastry app thru the greens/fruit/nut salad & delish dressing thru the (pic) beyond-description salmon entrée (and my wife’s EP repeat) thru the gelato impregnated by bits of fruit, chocolate, vanilla in each of the 3 flavors (awesome idea!). So, what we discovered was this cuisine is incredible!! In the course of our Campagna experience the 2nd time, we met Chef Walker, who’d recently moved from Campagna’s big brother next door, Legends, as their sous-chef. As Walker described his unique creations, it was clear his knowledge, innovation and passion were inexhaustible and were the reasons for how everything at Campagna was fabulous. It is passion that separates “excellent” from “very good” and passion is often in short supply. This chef has passion in spades! He is truly creative, innovating unique and scrumptious dishes. BTW, the regular menu rocks, but definitely look at the white sheet of specials that day. My wife and I have come twice - we’ll be coming more times. I really think one day we’ll say we knew Chef Walker when he was as Campagna. Simply cannot say enough good things about the culinary experience at Campagna Italian Cuisine. Te saludé, Chef Walker!!

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with this Italian restaurant on the grounds of Tryon International Equestrian Center. This was our first visit to the park and we were pretty hungry. We did have an hour wait on a hot afternoon, but did not have any trouble entertaining ourselves with the live band performance going on and the variety of shops to explore. The hostess texted us when our table was ready & we received good seating near the entrance. The menu is a bit limited, but still, something for everyone. Plenty of drink options, pizza & Italian fare. All was reasonably priced. What really stood out was the service. Our server checked on us several times, but was not intrusive at all. She was very friendly and helpful. The “free bread” provided was incredible! Some of the best I have had. I had the Shrimp ala Vodka for my main course. This is a classic “comfort food” selection. This location is over an hour from our house, but my husband said he would make the trip just to eat here again.

This place was highly recommended, and it was great! There was an hour wait, but the food was worth it. Pet friendly covered screened outdoor seating area with fans. I am looking forward to coming back and trying some other things on the menu. Others in group I was with said they have been here several times and said everything they have had has been great. I had the chicken Alfredo, it was creamy and cheesy, I liked it, and would recommend it. The pizzas are brick oven cooked, and all the toppings were delicious and fresh. Good experience, I will be back here again.

Won't be going back. First the service was very slow and staff on Saturday June 30 lacked any sense of "hospitality" in the greeting, order taking, serving process. We were just the "next occupants of our table" - nothing more. I ordered the Salmon Piccata for $25. When the server asked me how I wanted it cooked, I said Med Rare - but I want it warm in the middle but just slightly pink. She said she better put the order in for "Med" or else it would be too raw so I said fine. This is usually the sign of "fine" dining where the chef really knows how to cook seafood so I was happy. When my dinner came the salmon was HAMMERED. it was so over done and hard I could not eat it. She didn't come t until the rest of my table was finishing up. She saw the untouched salmon sitting on my plate and made no inquiry to see if there was a problem so I told her the instructions on the cook were way off and that my salmon was so over done I could not eat it. She shrugged and asked if I wanted her to put in another order. I did not because we had already waited so long and the rest of my party was finished eating. It took another 20 mins or so to get our bill and in that time no manager or anyone else at the establishment came by to even apologize. Worst customer service I've received in a...

We tried to like it. It was dead when we went. Sat down facing the kitchen and immediately noticed a staffer with some sort of Tourettes of the mouth. With Covid still in full swing, the thought of someone making our food while constantly opening their mouth, sticking their tongue out and and licking their lips was unsettling. We asked the manager about it and the person was moved to the back, probably prepared our salads, whatever. We had a pizza, it was good. Went back for another try a week later and started nice, same mouthy person working in kitchen, we decided to overlook, however a large party was seated in our section and the waitress completely forgot about us. No one checked on us the entire time. We waited and waited for someone to look in our direction so we could get a box and the check, but no one ever glanced our way. Finally we went up to the front to request our check and the manager simply said she would get our server. Server came up and handed us our check, no apology, nothing. I was really on her side, I was defending her since she was so busy, but not anymore, that's not how you handle customers. And even more appalling is the management! No apology, no offer to comp us anything for our wait and trouble. We're desperate for a decent...
