CHINA KITCHEN — Restaurant in Columbus

Tried this place for the first time tonight and I'm so glad I did! I've been disappointed with a lot of the Chinese restaurants in Columbus but my first experience here was great! I got the black pepper chicken dinner combo with veggie fried rice and an egg roll. I also got an order or Chinese donuts. The black pepper chicken was SO good! I asked for it extra crispy and it was perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender meat on the inside with crispy skin and the perfect amount of sauce and seasoning! A lot of Chinese places in town another everything in sauce and it just gets soggy and gross but this place did it just right. The egg roll and donuts were also delicious and the service was great! Food was prepared quickly too! The only reason I gave four stars is because the fried rice didn't really have any flavor and was just okay. I will definitely eat here again and...

So my husband & I just moved in the neighborhood & I'm ALWAYS skeptical about where I get my Chinese food. Well we ordered from China Kitchen tonight & I have to say in the beginning I was excited because I can't seem to find many restaurants that have whole wings & they fried them nice & crispy. When my husband walked through the door I was so excited, it smelled so good! When I broke the first wing, it had me a little hesitant & I just picked at it. When I broke the second one it was really really dark & had a bad smell 🤢 And all to follow were the same. I wanted to like it. I really did. It's close by and I hoped it could be a place that served decent Chinese food. Unfortunately it's not. I couldn't even eat the majority of what I ordered. It went to the dog.

Typical poor quality meat at these cheap Asian places. They serve really cheap cuts that are half-spoiled. Not fit for human consumption IMO.

Pinch a penny and lose a dime. Asians who run these places, and there must be some type of organization behind these places because they're all the same, they don't understand that serving a better quality meat that costs more will generate more customers and returning customers.
