Since I wrote the review below, the bar has opened an outdoor venue and stages loud concerts every weekend. It has gotten to the point where we can hear and feel the music in our bedroom, almost a quarter mile away (.2 miles, to be exact). And forget about enjoying a quiet evening on the patio. That's impossible. This was not the case when we bought our house. If it had been, and we still decided to buy the house, that would be on us. But that's not the case. This nuisance noise is forced on us, with no recourse because they "are well within ordinance", as they told us the last time I asked them to turn it down. Consequently, I am actively researching the process to petition for a chance to city ordinance. The first thing I noticed is that, according to the city zoning map, this property is zoned as Residential, NOT Commercial. This means the legal limit for the noise level is 65 db from 7 am - 10 pm, and 60 db from 10 pm - 7 am.
So, I'm going to start my research with the city to determine if this property is "Residential". If so, the following should apply:
(C)Prohibited sounds: (1)No person shall make or allow to be made any unreasonably loud and/or raucous noise in such a manner or at such a volume as to disturb the quiet, comfort, or repose of a person of ordinary sensibilities. Strict liability is intended to be imposed for a violation of this division. (2)In addition to the prohibition set out in (C)(1), the following specific acts are declared to be in violation of this ordinance:(a)No person shall operate or permit the operation of any sound amplification system, auditory device, or stationary sound source from a residential unit in a manner as to be audible at a distance of fifty (50) feet beyond the property line of the property from which the sound emanates. Strict liability is intended to be imposed for a violation of this division.

The Top of the Flint has been our favorite little neighborhood "dive bar" for a couple years. We've met some great people there and really enjoyed our time. Sadly, the bar (and the carryout below it) have been sold and it's the end of an era. I don't know solid details, but I've heard the new owner has a vision for what they want it to be. I guess I'll have to see what happens when...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went here for our first time for their St. Patrick’s Day party. We decided to get food from the Chef Shack food truck they have there. All the food was delicious! The bartender was super nice and personable, and made great drinks. And he was very efficient as well. Never had to wait to get another drink, even though they got fairly busy. I had the Bloody Mary bar which I loved. Great topping choices and I like that I can create it myself to my liking. They have many great drink choices. Even the patrons there were all very nice! I liked the atmosphere and they also had a live band that day as well as some Irish dancers. Their outside are looked nice as well, but it was too chilly to stay out there and enjoy it this time. Even though it is about 20 minutes from home, I was very impressed and we will definitely...
Read moreThis place is legendary! The building is over 130 years old and is a landmark in Worthington, OH. Being one of the very first speakeasies in the area, during prohibition, makes for a deep rooted history. Those of us who have grown up in Worthington are happy to see what the owners have done to this place to keep the history alive and fresh. The building is beautiful and has so much character. Their beer cave is impressive and their event room is beautiful. You have to check out their huge outdoor patio, live music, and...
