Mmm mm GOOD! The BEST fish and seafood in town! I consider myself to have a very discriminating palate. I prefer the freshest, most authentic, and savory tastes during my dining experience. This place delivers all that. I ordered the fried catfish and shrimp with potato and corn. While l enjoyed the tender, unique cut and flavor of the potato, it was just a tad bit salty for my tastebuds, but the FISH was fried with a light, crispy coating on the outside with a melt in your mouth, moist and delicate texture on the inside! Such a burst of mouthwatering, yummy delight! Skipper's customer service is impeccable too! With food that tastes like it came straight from the ocean, to the kitchen, and to the table...deserves me as a loyal customer! Aye Aye Skipper! #ImHooked
UPDATE: Last Friday June 1, 2018 l decided l needed to do a repeat of the Fried Catfish and Shrimp dinner from Skippers. I decided to call my order in, so all l would have to do is pick it up without the wait. During the calle l asked Skipper to put in the order. He said l could order the fish and add the shrimp. To make the combo but it didn't automatically come that way. Ok so let's do that. I remember paying a different price the first time visiting Skippers but this time he said it would be a different price! He went on to say he other customers in line and they were lookibg at him like they were annoyed and that l should order online. 👀 Really Skipper!? Okay listen, your fish is the best I've had since moving to Columbus but that response helped me decide to travel to Rosehill Seafood. God bless your business but the way you handled me over the phone was so not cool. We have got...
Read moreWe had a large party (7 people). This seemed to be a family business, which was cool. The food was delicious, but we definitely did not get our money’s worth. Two people each ordered the “half” seafood feast. Me and 2 others ordered the whole/full and shared (menu said it feeds 3-4), but our friends who each ordered the half ones got the same exact # of crablesgs as we had in our whole/full feast—just a bunch of red potatoes in ours. They also had a small bar but not a great selection. We were visting from Atlanta on a whitewater rafting trip, so we were tired and in dire need of a drink. We finally settled for a few shots, but those were even overpriced, at $7 a shot. The food did have a good flavoring, but we were all still hungry after eating...none of us were about to fill up on a bunch of potatoes. Service was lackluster-waitresses (2) kept forgetting to bring us additional items we ordered, and it took a long time for our food to come out. Also, they charged us $.75 for drink refills (but told us $.50–$.25 is not a big deal, but it’s the principle), and they also charged for a few extra cups of butter. With the money we spent there, those little charges seemed to be a bit...
