So, let me tell you why this place gets a full five star review. We arrive. The place is empty. Everything is clean. Nothing. Is. Sticky. The two young women behind the counter were very polite and industrious (hence the no-sticky). While preparing our order the two women carried on what seemed like fragments of several conversations running consecutively. It was a symphony! Watching them scramble eggs! Cook bacon and sausage! Fry potatoes! And the waffles?! OMG! I had never had Waffle House food sober before. Nor had I had it fresh from a clean grill! These wonderful women even WARMED THE SYRUP for us! All with the carefree attitude of seasoned professionals. So impressive! Apparently, this is well-known as THE Waffle House (locally) or our timing was just right, because no sooner than we had been served than the entire place seemed to fill up in minutes! (But it really is a pretty small place, so...) And then these two women, for whom I have such deep respect, began to REALLY work! And still with the same casual proficiency as before. The ladies in here or the group is not the most enthusiastic group I've ever met in Waffle House lol serious. I kept trying to get them motivated. The cook has the most personality. One confusing thing the girl serving me lol I asked her where she's from. She said here just like the other girl said here I say here here but anyhow she goes from Plainfield and I said this is Plainfield. She said no but I'm from Plainfield but before that she said she was from here Lol
