Being gluten free can make dining out a challenge, so when we’re choosing a place, good reviews are a must. Add in the fact that we travel with our pups, and dog-friendly is non-negotiable! Tony’s Italian Eatery in Colville, WA checked every single box—and then some. We were seated on the back patio where our amazing server wiped down the table and immediately brought out water for our dogs (huge plus!). She was so sweet with them—even surprising them with a little cup of shredded chicken. She chatted with us about gluten free options and shared her own experience being keto, which made us feel extra comfortable. Since we were celebrating our son’s birthday, she truly went above and beyond. We ordered a 6-topping gluten free pizza (perfectly cooked with a crisp crust) and an antipasto salad that she kindly split for my husband and me to share. Our son had the chicken and mushroom alfredo with garlic bread, and the portion was absolutely generous. Everything came out fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. The best part? Dessert! After our meal, she surprised our son with a slice of huckleberry cheesecake topped with a candle, and the whole table joined in singing happy birthday. On top of that, we couldn’t resist ordering a slice of the gluten free chocolate cake layered with white chocolate ganache and topped with whipped cream—honestly, to die for. Between the thoughtful service, the fantastic gluten free options, and the warm, dog-friendly vibe, Tony’s is an absolute must if you’re in the Colville area. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit.

My husband liked his sandwich okay. The kids chicken strips were over cooked and dry. Fries were great. This is a real mom and pop down to earth kind of place which are my favorite types of places. I will say it was packed when we went. All local people who seemed to enjoy their food, and thanking the cook and wait staff on the way out. So I think this place clearly has a good following and can't be bad if there are that many dedicated individuals. The wait staff was insanely kind and attentive. I noticed something unhygienic and was put off and my pasta was not agreeable, so I didn't end up eating any of it. I wanted to love it. The two stars are solely for the mom/pop type business and the friendly service. Maybe we went on an off night?

The food at Tony's is always hot and fresh. They are pretty knowledgeable about gluten-free offerings and do have gluten-free pasta and gluten-free pizza. this chicken salad I had was amazing, and my friend enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. The time before that I got eggplant parmesan on gluten-free pasta (no, the eggplant part is not gluten free and they made sure to let me know that, but I wanted it so I had it anyway), in on a cold winter's day, it was exactly what I needed. Hot, hearty, fresh, and delicious. The chocolate and white cake for dessert, that is gluten-free, was utterly amazing and I couldn't stop thinking about it for like 3 days. It was the perfect finishing touch for the meal. I definitely recommend Tony's.

Seeing this place I was excited I thought FINALLY a hole in the wall restaurant that is probably AMAZING. Boy was I WRONG! We ordered the jalapeño poppers, calamari, Tony's special pasta and the chicken parm. Our appetizers came out and I was fine with my jalapeño poppers but noted that they were definitely the frozen type that just need to be fried. My husband's calamari was in sticks so also obviously the frozen super processed kind... I held onto hope waiting for our food.. but when it came I was HIGHLY disappointed. Even the BREAD was terrible. I've never had terrible garlic bread until our visit to Tony's. The sauce was watery, lacking flavor other than sugar ... and just not good BUT THE CHICKEN... HORRID. looked terrible. . The fry on it was almost non existent... it was pre cut which also made it look worse. . Then I took a bite and told my husband not to eat his chicken.. it tasted rancid like it had been sitting for days. My husband got the Tony's special and so the chicken was cut up into tiny pieces in it.. it looked Grey as I'd expect bad chicken to look .. he picked around it...as did i... but he ended up sick and puking by the end of the night. I would not recommend this place and after talking with locals it seems "everyone only goes there once". I urge the family to try new ways of doing things... and scrap their recipes to start new if they want to save that place. This town could totally use a incredible hole in the wall italian joint... but Tony's is NOT it! The atmosphere is okay but could totally be cleaned up and be a lot cuter for cheap. The service was also okay but the definitely didn't come back to ask how our food was...

So much for Valentines Lunch. Meal was hot, wait staff was friendly and sociable until food was disliked. I personnally ordered for Garlic cloves to be cooked and served with fettuccine sauce, they charged me for it but did not prepare and serve it. instead they must have went to Walmart and bought some more garlic powder and shook that in. The side dish of a giant meatball was conviently blender ground hamburger made into a ball with no spices, pre-cooked and delivered by truck, then frozen. When it was time to serve they nuked it with some tomatoe sauce from the Dollar store and served in plastic bowl also from the dollar store. The meatball so tough it was like stabbing into sheetrock with a fork, mayo and kecthup would be useless in this matter. My wife could not eat her rubberized Florentine Ravioli with garden variety Ragu sauce. So Rancho Chico is still the best place in Colville Washington, for a quiet, friendly, deliciously cooked meal. In two weeks we will be trying out the local...
