I came here with a date on a Saturday night around 6pm. I knew it was going to be good when the parking lot was already full and the bar area was even more packed. We took a seat at the bar and our drink orders were taken quickly while supper menus were dropped off. I ordered a whiskey sweet Old Fashioned and my date ordered a brandy sweet Old Fashioned. I am new to the Old Fashioned game but my date is not. She loved hers and Ioved mine. Our supper order was taken by the time we were done with our 1st drink.
I went to grab some accoutrements from the relish bar. They had the usual spread of breads, crackers, pretzels and then cheese and patte spreads. The spreads were tasty and the breads/crackers had a lot of flavor.
Our table was ready about 30ish mins after our order was placed and the hot food came out shortly after being sat and finishing our salads. I ordered the mini seafood platter and my date ordered the Tenderloin. My food was fantastic, the shrimp were seriously some of the best shrimp I have ever eaten. It made me regret not getting the shrimp platter instead, all the other fish and scallops were delicious as well but if I choked to death on the shrimp, I would have died a happy man. My date liked her tenderloin as well.
The staff was amazing and all interactions were top notch. I also have to complement the rest of the guests. It was an older crowd (me and my date are in our 30s) and it was like eating dinner with our parents/grandparents. We made small talk with a few different groups and they were a pleasure to talk to. I will definitely be back to the Lox Club as...

Unfortunately....
What a supremely disappointing experience. Showed up 5:00 pm on Friday with my wife and two boys. We put our name in like any normal WI Supper Club and expected to have cocktails and have decent wait.
At 6:30 I asked the bartender if they had an idea on timing. Mind you I watched the waiting section get turned twice by this time. She shared the server was looking for us. At 6:50 I asked again. about 5 minutes later the server said..."I grabbed the wrong table, I asked if they were Ryan and they said yes" - Lie number 1.
Fine, mistakes happen. We put in our order... 25 minutes go by. I watched them turn the waiting section a 3rd time. I tried to flag our server, she looked at me and quick turned to go in the other direction. I waited near the bar so she had to speak to me and asked if we were going to get seated? She responded "I put in the wrong order and it has to get remade." - Lie number 2.
At this point I was highly irritated and asked them to box our food to go. It's 7:30 now and another lady is trying to figure out where our food is and says she'll get it to go. I told her I am waiting 10 minutes and then I am walking out. 10 minutes go by, no communication (but, hey that's just tradition at this point).
From our perspective it lacked any resemblance of organization and accountability. But hey - we decided to pick up 'za to go from a pizza chain up the road - That filled void.
Get it...
Read moreI have been a patron for more years than I can count. ( Schullers Shack was across the street, and Oakwood Hills Golf Course was behind the restaurant ) 2 weeks ago, our group of 4 sat down for what was expected to be the usual excellent dining experience. Didn't happen for the third time in a row. Food was bland, over cooked and dry. Service was so so. Wait staff seemed kinda lost. Tonight ordered a to go Prime Rib French dip sandwich. Incredibly disgusting. The bun and coleslaw "SOUP" was the 1st layer on the bottom. The Cole slaw soup managed to render the bun a gob of slop. This was covered with a sheet of heat retaing foil. Next layer was the meat. About as dry, tough and tasteless as can be. This too was covered with a sheet of foil. Last but not least were the fries. Now you must remove the fries to get at the dry, tough and tasteless meat. Remove another layer of foil to reveal your coleslaw soup soaked bun. The only thing worth eating were the fries, and at the price, not worth it. I hate to say it, but I will never step foot in the Lox Club again. Dam shame. Almost forgot. While waiting for my order, the bar tender finally got around to asking if I would like something to drink while waiting. I asked for a Miller High Life. I was served a Miller Genuine Draft. When I mentioned the mistake, all I got was "SORRY" as she...
