I love this park! I come here primarily to hike and walk the trails with my dog. Nice hiking trails in the woods for anyone in the Fox Cities area who wants to be in nature, but not drive far to get there. Some of the trails in the woods do have gravel, inclines, and stairs. If you are looking for paved surfaces, head to the Heritage Parkway Trail & Nelson Family Heritage Crossing Trail. They are located by walking over a small bridge connected to Heesakker. There are restrooms at the park itself, as well as a playground. On the paved trails, there are port-a-potties available for use in certain areas on the trail. I love that there are pet waste bags available throughout the trails. Absolutely gorgeous in the Fall! Almost always see wildlife of all kinds while walking.

This is such a nice park, tucked away by the river in Little Chute. There are many trails for biking and walking. On any given day you may be welcomed by some of the local deer, and you can get fairly close to see them. There is a bridge that takes you over to the island where there are additional trails and a working lock. If you are big into nature but don’t want to travel out of your way this is a great local spot.

It's beautiful here. There's a few trails through the park/woods. It also connects you to the Heritage Parkway trail which is a nice paved trail along the fox River. I also have seen it called the Island River trail so not sure which one is correct but it's a good trail for family or a solo walk. Beautiful views on the bridge and along the trail. Also has a playground area for kids to play at.

The park was empty so I let my dog out of the car so she could stretch her legs, I threw the ball for her for about five mins before being asked to leave or the police were going to be called. She did not use the restroom at the park as it is not a dog park and we had just gone potty before heading to the park. I can't bring her to the dog park yet untill she gets her shots as she is just a pup. I needed a place to be with her for a few hours so my landlord could do some work on the house and as I said before she did not potty at the park and I was the only person there. Residents in the area asked us to leave but they obviously do not use the park as it is always empty. What's the point of a park if people can't use it. Next they will be saying no...

I believe this to be the best public property in Little Chute... it offers wooded hiking trails with a variety of nature and wild animals to see (I've seen deer, squirrels, owls and even a fox). A play ground for young kids and lots of green space for large group games and even an ice rink in the winter.. not to mention the hill makes for great sledding fun. A nice size pavilion and bathroom facilities ensure a great group location. The trails are connected via a bridge to Island park for an amazing...
