I don't know what all the fuss is about. I checked in the night before my appointment they gave me a door and are working me in. The docks are really close together, if you are pulling a dry van you won't have any problems. If you're pulling a reefer, be very aware of your doors as you back in and pull out of the dock. The shipping and receiving check-in area is off Peachtree road. Next to door 42. There is a number on the receiving door for you to call to check in. They will tell you what doors you can back into, once you back into a door you call that number again and let them know what dock that you are in and they will start loading you. Ok first timers let me share my experience going there for first time. At first you will arrive at 6090 slauson however you will have to drive around the facility to check-in at the back of the building located at 6101 Peachtree. There's a phone number to check in located right next to the Security Station. Once you complete the check in process everything goes smooth. While there a few driver's were checking-in/out. Also not all driver's have the same size of loads so please don't get upset if you see someone else check in after you and leave before you. Please do be that person. This place is ridiculous. Backing is off SLAUSON AVE and ZAMBRANO. You check in around the huge block at dock 42. In order to go in you have to basically double park on Peachtree St, then you check yourself in on the touch screen monitor on the wall... Figure out what number you need first...😵😡 then wait for someone to tell you what approximate dock number to go to 25-38.... Then when you finally get backed in call the number they gave you and hope they answer.... Probably will have to call more then once.😵😲😡😠. Then wait. After that.... To get your paperwork.... I don't know as of yet... Im still sitting here....
