Heavenly Delight — Restaurant in Congress Township

i came here about a month ago, my friends and i wanted some ice cream after being out in the sun all day. we waited for about thirty minutes for three ice cream cones. while waiting to order our food, a lot of people started coming in, it was really crowded to say the least. i felt uncomfortable a few times. the old man, who've i've read is the owner, was screaming and yelling in the back. my friend overheard him talking about shooting someone, it also sounded like he was throwing stuff, honestly, i feel bad for the young person that was working, that they have to put up with that, they seemed very kind, but overwhelmed. the other times were customer related, but i don't want to put them on blast, as in hindsight, it wasn't anything. when we finally got to order, it was quick, i will admit, the pricing wasn't horrible, cheaper than most places, but i'm not so sure i would come here again, due to the owner. i think all of the christian labeling isn't necessary, i agree with one of the other reviews, you can believe what you want to believe in, but it's bad for business, especially if you're putting ai photos of donald trump on the building, it goes to show what type of person owns this establishment. i personally don't want to support this place. the ice cream was just ice cream, nothing special. i could've went to literally any other place and got the same thing, would've been quicker too. my friends and i did get a kick out of the sign saying "jesus is lord", that's about the only good that came out of coming here. we still joke about it to this day, and tell stories about our time here. i think if you want ice cream, don't come here. go somewhere else, especially if you have kids, the environment is not...

Decent ice cream place with a HUGE menu. Overall, tastewise everything tastes pretty good but, nothing that will blow your socks off. As for service and atmosphere, I have had nothing more than mediocre experiences and a few bad ones. Some examples of the poor service/atmosphere:

• The owner regularly injects his/her negative political opinions into the business (placing slanderous "news" articles or pictures in the same space as the menu) • An older woman took my order with a sullen look on her face the entire time as if she were irritated at having to serve a customer • When I walked in there were no other customers but, nobody was tending the counter. Upon closer inspection I could clearly see someone's legs resting on something in the back room. When I called out to get their attention the legs immediately disappeared behind the wall. Took my 3 kids here to get ice cream. The old man acted like it was an inconvenience that we were there. I let a gentleman go ahead of me as the kids still needed to choose. Even after his order was done and he left i got ignored. A young man came in the back door looked straight at me and picked up his cell phone instead of waiting on us. I waited another 15 minutes and still got no service and listened to them complaining that people were coming at the worst times and should just stay home. I took the kids clear to wooster to get ice cream after that and will everytime. I will not spend money there after this experience and will not recommend them to anyone.
