Great China Buffet — Restaurant in Connersville

My son Brennan treated me to dinner. I want to start by saying that I clicked the 20 to $30 box. The total cost for my son and I buffets was $22 included unlimited drinks. He chose the place we arrived at the China Buffet right around 6:30. There was parking not too far from the door, it's a nice size parking lot. Once inside they were fairly busy there was plenty of open tables and everything on the Buffet bar was hot, fresh ,and full. My son and I were there for a couple hours. Yeah, I know it sounds like a long time. It's a Buffet, Brennan and I hasn't in ⁸seen each other in a while. We had a nice conversation over a couple of plates of food and dessert. I was a regular customer until I went after 7:30. All the desert trays empty as many other dishes. I guess when it's slow and later in evening they don't bother setting out certain food. Problem is I pay the same price whether it's busy or not and expect the variety I always get. When I told her "is there no desert tonight" she said "yes theirs bananas, jello, pudding.etc" She knew damn well the entire desert section against the wall was completely empty. As well as many hot dishes. They're just being cheap. Not to mention the whole vibe their is kinda depressing, unhappy. Very cut off from customers in every way. My review is not good nor bad. However if I'm being honest,the Great Wall buffet in greensburg indiana is what I'm use to and was told this place is vary similar.We love the one in greensburg however this one in connersville is no where near as good as greensburg Great Wall Buffet and I feel u get way more for ur money there. This place u not only have to get ur own drinks (which is no biggy) but the food is made not the same at all,the crab ragoon has hardly any thing in it, the chicken is dry and the chicken on the stick taste like honey glazed ham. Soooo over all I'd say save ur money and drive to greensburg and each the best Chinese all u can eat buffet you can. Staff is friendly...
