Amalfi's Pizza of Conover — Restaurant in Conover

Please mention you read my review to Stacy and left if you visit Amalfi's I will add a photo of next calzone I get from this incredibly awesome restaurant. I bought a calzone today and I ordered a large thinking that since I am big man and I like to eat that large would be enough to satisfy my appetite. If you haven't eaten at Amalfi's restaurant you are missing out on an icon meal. The calzone was first and foremost delicious very delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the calzone today but I want you to imagine a large pizza from any chain pizza place now increase the size by at least 25% larger than any large pizza now put spinach ricotta cheese chicken any topping you like and then fold the largest pizza you have ever seen and that is a calzone from Amalfi's restaurant this one calzone was enough to feed three big hungry men like me. I would be willing to drive 3 or 4 hours just to get a calzone from Amalfi's restaurant. Please please if you haven't tried it order a calzone from Amalfi's restaurant. Thusday 8/27/20 3rd visit to Amalfi's this time I ordered the cheese burger. I have lots and lots of options for where I can eat and spend my money. I am very picky eater I either love it or not and I have chosen to eat at this restaurant3 times in a week. The burger and fries are better than any place selling burgers and better than McDonald's fries IMO and I love fries. Sandy is very much a welcomed greeting when she takes your order. Always professional and smiling and makes everyone feel welcome even on her days when she is working in a fast pace to keep orders flowing to the back and front of the house. She's definitely one of my favorite parts of my visit. The little lady whom is at the register and making sure your order is paid for and that your aware of the many great options is also always courteous to those who are in line and paying. The staff make you feel exactly the way any of my heartfelt interactions with Italian Culture has been, inviting, heartfelt, and like family. They even are curteous enough to extend to their patrons this unspoken tradition in offering with a piece of baked bread with each order, so that the Italian traditional customary to gathering for a meal and breaking bread together is a part of una familia..one family. I truly believe that when the heart of the food is it's people then the food will be just as amazing the outcome. Keep up the outstanding work and the way you conduct business, fast, curteous and with the heart of you, each of you. The food is delicious and the portions are hearty. Food was delicious can't say anything negative about that at all. Service is where I had my issue. The young man behind the counter with glasses went out of his way to not respond with a vocal answer but instead headnods and shaking his head no. I will give partial credit, his coworker noticed and was trying her absolute best to make up for the lack of human interaction. To wrap up the visit, he was told to seperate 2 items on 2 separate orders, when questioned he "had no idea he was suppose to" and instead took the change to still pay for both cannoli's and charged 1.75 back to a card instead of active listening and even though they were to be 2 seperate order he still placed them in the same box, size of cannoli's were great though. I came with a party of 8, so even the lack of space for such a large party, we mostly enjoyed ourselves the exception being this young man. Wonderful pasta, garlic knots were top knotch and the cannoli's are some of the best I've ever had. Hope the customer service improves because I truly believe this could have an impact on...
