Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Conroe

Manager, Stephanie (only one there according to her) hung up on me twice when I called about an order. I was trying to understand why there was only one coupon used but she hung up before u could ask after I told her to cancel the order so I could come down and do it in person. The second time I told her she was rude and needed to verify people were finished and give a closing like goodbye. She hung up on me again. When I went down to order in person I asked to speak to who was in charge...guess who. Yeah. I told her I would prefer that someone be out there as witness to the conversation and she said they could hear over the speaker. Ok, fine. Her response to why she hung up....."I said ok before I hung up." Working in customer service 10 years? She hasn't learned a thing. I told her she never asked if I was done before hanging up, her response " I thought that would be rude". ?????? So she's ok if people just hang up on her, and she wonders why I was upset. She tells me "I'm running a business". Well an "is there anything else I can help you with." Would be nice. You've been in customer service 10 years and you don't know how to politely end a BUSINESS conversation? Look I manage at more than 1 job, I have 16 year olds that work for me that are more professional and polite. The topper of that was I was unable to use my Sonic card when I redid the order because it is in the app. Ah well. I did not realize I actually had cash in my center console. I never write a review for a fast food place but I had to here. We live an hour from Conroe and we were in the area because of stuff my hubby ordered there. On our way out to go back home we wanted to pick up something for the road and our 4 year old said he wanted a corn dog from Sonic. In all honesty we HATE stopping at any Sonic place because one, the people taking the order are always rude, the service is terribly slow, they ALWAYS get our orders wrong and car hopers are not friendly. Our son loves Sonic corn dogs and so we dreadfully pulled into Sonic. Well....we were blown away!!! From taking our order to waiting and bringing it out WOW just wow!!! For ONCE a Sonic made it RIGHT!!!! We didn’t have to wait an hour for our order! I so wish this Sonic was closer but we know now if we’re in Conroe again where exactly to glad fully stop for our son. Just placed a order online thru Uber Eats tonight 9p at 11010 Hwy 105 E Conroe 77301 and I was contacted by the driver that the order was given to another driver called the store spoke with a rude disrespect manager and I was told he don’t check nothing he trying to get in touch with the Uber driver blah blah blah however this guy actually hung up in my face and all I was trying to see is will I still get my order etc etc but I couldn’t get one word out because he had a nasty attitude like I was the one messed up I wasn’t the one that gave someone the wrong order I called back and a guy answered so I asked are you the one that hung up in my face and his response was yes I was the one I know nothing is going to happen with that guy but he should no I’m not the one that made him fill out the application I’m not the one that told him to work tonight I’m not the one that messed up the order if you don’t like your job and can’t handle customer...
