Constantine Harvey House — Restaurant in Constantine Township

This is an extremely odd place. Kids are not kicked out at anytime of the night. THEY ARE 12- 14 YEARS OLD! I believe they encourage kids to stay so they can keep their parents there as well. It’ll be Midnight and you’re not allowed to play certain music because of the children being there..This is extremely disturbing to me. They have 18/19 year kids working the bar every day as well. Which in Michigan you must be 21. This is a sketchy business with illegal things going on. They are also landlords and there is sketchy business going behind that. I encourage the support behind this review. What if you were to have the wrong man in there and they leave with the children before anyone realized? It’ll make me sick to my stomach. Their food.. don’t get me started on it 🥴. It is not clean or well kept in there. It has an odd smell to it. I’ll be reaching out to State help with this. It’s just the children part for me. Very nice atmosphere. But as a waitress and bartender myself. Service was not on point she had maximum of five people at the bar and two tables. I had the Harvey burger and a 1/4 of my burger wasn't there and it was dry and no flavor. She didn't even if ask me what I wanted on my burger or temp of the burger. Small portions. But not bad prices for the economy issue for food understandable. Bathrooms, my husband thought the urinal were cool, but the women's bathroom had pee on the seat. Gross!!! We had to ask for refills and boxes to go. The young lady that cooked are food was amazing young lady. She apologized for taking some time for are food. I told her no big deal. But the bartender wasnt very attentive. If she wasn't sitting on the bar top hitting her vape she probably could of gotten us refills without asking for them.But loved the decor and environment. The food was amazing. I got the 2 AM burger and potato skins. Normally, I hate potato skins. Always have. However, I LOVE theirs. I don't know what's different, but they're phenomenal. And the 2 AM burger was cooked PERFECTLY and it was a fantastic price for how big the burger was. I am definitely trying the pulled pork, wings, and chicken strip sandwich on my next few visits.

The service was great. Our server didn't overly ask us how we were doing. Some servers (not talking about anywhere specific, just in general) can repeatedly ask how everything is and I, personally, don't like it when it's excessive. She paid attention to when things got low and THEN asked. Perfect job in my opinion.
