All American Steakhouse — Restaurant in Carney

This place USE TO BE amazing. The only reason I'm even giving this 2 Stars is b/c our server was great and so were the girls at the host stand. We went here on Nov 18th for my daughter's 5th Birthday (Party of 8 ppl.) Upon being walked back to our table by a really sweet hostess, she was chastised by a tall older man in a Polo, and told by him loudly & rudely, 'I TOLD YOU NOT TO LEAVE THE FRONT!' She apologized to him and continued to lead us to our table. I was super uncomfortable for her, and even told her I thought that was extremely unprofessional of him to do that to her in front of us. My family and I were waiting for our Apps, and my 5 yr old daughter (bday girl) walked to the other side of the table, excited to see her Pop & Grandma...gave them hellos & hugs...and after she did that, she went to walk back to her seat at the opposite end of the table...our chairs were incredibly close to the table seated behind us, and there was only enough room for one person to squeeze by at a time...as she went to squeeze by, the same older Man 'Manager' was coming by at the same time, and literally body bumped my small 5 year old child out of the way, so he could squeeze by first. It took everything in me not to lose my cool, but I did not say a word to him, and simply looked at everyone in our party like 'did he really just do that?' Where I serve, we strictly follow the 'GROW Rule' (Guest Right of Way.) I went upto the host stand, and told the girls what had just happened, and was apologized to by them profusely, and told that he was the 'Manager' (can't quite remember his name, but i want to say it was maybe 'Rich?') I told the girls that I did NOT want him to table touch our parties table (which most managers of the floor typically do.) My husband and I both got the 10 Oz filet medium/rare. Mine was PERFECT and he cut into his and it was medium/well verging on well done (how do you put 2 exactly the same steaks on the grill at the same time, and get such vastly differing temps?) We had to wait 25mins for a redo on his steak, and by then the rest of our party was finished eating...and who brought our redo steak?!?! The 'Manager' I specifically asked to NOT come to our table 🤦‍♀️ Also, the ENTIRE REASON we chose to come here was for the FAMILY FUN CENTER ARCADE (their sign still states that boldly lit up on the front of the building) and we were told it was closed down. Do you ever have such a horrid experience somewhere, that youll never go back to try it again? Cause I now have. So sad too b/c this use to be one of our most favorite places to go! Possibly the worst steak I have ever had at a restaurant. I received an email alerting me of the 2 for $20 dinner special and decided to make the trip to All American Steakhouse with my wife. We sat at the bar, as we usually do, and the bartender after a minute came over and asked about our drink order. I ordered a large beer, and a glass of tea for my wife. The beer when it arrived had a substantial head on it, so the 20 oz beer was probably about 17 oz in actuality, but whatever, I let it pass. Just a thought about the bartender, who never offered his name; I don't think I have ever had someone who worked in the hospitality industry that was as unfriendly, and dismissive. I have to assume he is not relying on tips, or maybe he is just indifferent to unfamiliar faces. In any event, after taking our order and waiting for food to arrive (which came fairly quick, to be honest), I tried my steak, a 6oz sirloin, cooked as requested. The bartender did ask how our food was, and I replied that my steak was OK and my wife was enjoying the chicken she had ordered. About 2/3 of the steak was OK, but the final 1/3 was inedible, just fat and gristle. I told the bartender that I wanted to speak to him, but either he didn't hear me or didn't care to hear from me, and he proceeded on to other customers. When he next came near I made sure to get his attention so I could explain my dis-satisfaction with my steak, and told him I didn't want anything, I just wanted someone to know that it was not a decent cut of meat. We got the bill, I paid, left a 15% tip and were getting ready to go on our way. Prior to leaving, my wife asked for a Togo cup for her tea, and the bartender rolled his eyes, but did comply with the request. So, all things considered, it was not a total waste of money, but I think our next steakhouse visit will be at a place which deserves and earns...

My husband and I visited this place for the 1st time in a few years this past Sunday early afternoon. They were not busy. We both ordered steak, I always order the 6 ounce Filet, I specially told the waitress there is always an issue having the filet cooked med/well and it’s most always cooked well done. The waitress told me she would let the cook know. The salads came out and they were nothing like the delicious salads they use to serve. The steaks came out and mine was WELL DONE!!!! I let the waitress know right away that the filet was over cooked. She said “What would you like me to do about it?” I said “I would like a steak cooked med/well” The manager came over about the butterfly filet “I let him know the waitress never mentioned anything about butterflying the steak. “No, I don’t want the steak butterflied” “OK, I will have them cook you another steak” “I will handle it personally” I waited and waited, my husband finished his meal. The waitress came and asked if I wanted everything in a to go box. It taking longer because the manager is taking special care of it...lol! The steak was finally delivered by the manager in a to go box. I opened the box and cut into the steak and it was well done again!!!!! Are you kidding me??? The manager says “I will take your meal off the check” We leave the restaurant I look at my bank account online and they charged us for everything! My husband called them and was told “Well you will have the credit for the meal in 2 to 3 days” WOW, really??? We will never go back there or recommend it to anyone else!!!! Terrible!!! It’s zero...
