Darrell's Donuts — Restaurant in Zanesville

This for 32 years would have been 5 stars no questions asked. Idk whats happened in the last couple months but the donuts are not nearly as soft and delicate as they used to be. The size on many of the donuts have gotten much smaller. This was an absolute once a week stop for me and the family but I think its going to be much fewer and farther between now, the last 2 times just haven't done it for any of us. A bakers dozen and some donut holes would last all of an hour maybe, now there's leftovers if not throwing a couple away, wish things...

I really wanted to give this place five stars. I love local restaurants and local establishments. Unfortunately I did not care too much for their donuts. I guess I'm used to the one on the North end which is not the same and in my opinion much better. I know this is a big fight over people that live in the Zanesville area and will continue to be until the day I die. If you're looking for a friendly person and decent donuts stop here. Saturday June 25 at 9:30 in the morning, we went in the store as we had for many years. We saw empty shelves which did bother us a lot but was odd. The sales lady said that's all we got!!!!. We went outside and told a lady about the store. She said that's okay. She drove 30 miles to get her preordered donuts. She came out with no donuts and said they sold them out from under her.
