On Saturday’s they open at 3pm. I called and ordered two pizzas at 3:25pm I was told the two pizzas would not be ready until 6:15pm because they were “busy” so in 25 minutes since they opened they are already having to push orders back by 3 hours? Something seems off about that. It sounds like the staff working are lazy, the kid on the phone kept saying “we’re really busy are you sure you want to wait, it won’t be ready until after 6PM” I told him yes that’s fine still make the pizzas. Again the kid tells me “it won’t be ready till after 6 PM” I told him I know and to please make them, and that we’ll be there at 6:15pm. The kid on the phone huffs and says “fine, we’ll make them at 6:15”. So the customer service is lacking to say the least. It’s a shame too because they use to have staff that was pleasant and would get orders done in a timely manner. Just really hoping that this issue improves and we don’t lose another business. Guess we’ll see if the pizzas still good when we pick it up later today! I hope so…
When my husband picked up the pizza Bill came and spoke with him about the review above. He let my husband know that the call was breaking up in parts and he was just trying to make sure that I was aware that it was going to be a bit of a wait. I have no problem waiting for AMAZING food. The reason for this review was based on my personal experience with the customer service I received while placing the order. We all have our days. Especially if you work in food services with not always polite customers. This i fully understand. Does this mean that I won’t support this business anymore? No, it doesn’t. Bill Gallicano has done loads for this community and I love supporting them. The experience I had was my own. I encourage anyone reading this or any of my other reviews to try places out for yourself. Absolutely nothing wrong with the amazing food they serve, just a hitch with...
Read moreGallicano's Pizza in Anaconda, MT, USA, makes pizza the way I like pizza: medium thick crust, no char, fantastic fresh ingredients, spread to the edge of the crust, great combinations to choose from, and on top of all that...a fantastic value! (In the interest of full disclosure, I am acquainted with one of the owners. I live in a city quite a distance from Anaconda and so on my visit was eager to try my friend's place.) But, hey, I love pizza and can't really say as I have any favorites here in Portland, OR, USA. Thin-crust, charred pizza seems to be all the rage here, and I don't care for it. Gallicano's is perfect for me, and only coincidentally because of the friendship. It seems to be quite popular, very family-oriented, with a lot of regular customers. Nice ambience in an historic building on one of the main streets of town. They have pasta dishes, sandwiches, and salads, too, and a popular side dish is "Erin's Knots," which appear to be crust extras knotted, cooked, and tossed in a garlic dressing. They are served with your choice of a dip and are habit-forming, trust me! Friend or not, I love this place and you will find me there on my next visit...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious! Best 🍕 we have had in a long time and definitely top 5 of all time, this includes comparisons with NYC and Naples, Italy. Small place, but most people do take out, so our large party was easily seated. Pro tip from the owner: call your order in at 3 for both dine in or take out or your wait could be quite long. No matter how long you wait though, IT IS WORTH IT! Fresh toppings, huge slices and a chewy, thin crust baked to perfection. The pie names are also fun and clever and the staff was very friendly. Oh, and don't get me started on the Garlic Knots Uh-MAZ-ing! Cash or check only and no highchairs for...
