The food was good and the people were very nice and it looked very clean. This restaurant is in a location near the Whitewater Canal Trail so if you're riding a bike, you can get to by taking Columbia Street then turning left on Claiborne Street follow that all the way to Duck Creek up to US 52 and it is on the left and in a diagonal Direction on the other side of US 52. The sign said they were closed it was late that evening my wife and I went to Metamora for our 20th year anniversary to find a closed the wife went in to see if they were possibly still open so that we could get some food and she is diabetic and she needed something to eat they open their doors without hesitation welcomed us offered to fix anything that we would like even though they were closed and cleaning to go home amazing staff in caring people we will go back just to have a dinner there and we drove two hours to get to this designation.. Love this diner so much. Down home cooking you can’t get at “normal” restaurants. Our order consisted of: the metamora burger, Ben Franklin burger, fried mushrooms, French fries, tater soup, chilli, salad. It was all good. We were full when we left, but you don’t have that sicky feeling you get when you eat at fast food. The burgers were juicy, and the soups you could tell were homemade.
