This place was okay, really disappointed in the fact they did not have apple cider. There are miscellaneous items and baked goods and a little food venue out back. The ice cream was good and self serve, but no vanilla. At the time of visit there was pumpkin and apple cider flavors. I'd recommend both. The Ice cream was also available to go for a good price. The baked goods looked amazing and smelled delicious. They were making them fresh while we were there, which it seemed like it was done frequently. Cost of baked goods wasn't bad either.
The reason for the one rating for this establishment is because of the hot water in the right bathroom was above scaulding hot. Enough to cause pain and leave a red mark and residual sensitivity. Had I been a child, not an adult, injury was possible. The only saving grace was the fact numerous people had been in before me and the hot water was already hot so my hand was not completely under the faucet before it hit that top temp. Had this been cool in the line to the temp it reached, I am certain I would have been...
Read moreWe’ve been to the bakery twice now and want to go back on a day that the cafe is open to have lunch. I’ll update my review when I have. The bakery/gift shop opens at 9 every day. The cafe is only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11-3 currently, as of 7/17/2024.
In the bakery, I’ve had both the apple pie ice cream (there’s a topping sauce to put on it too) and it was delicious! All the joy of apple pie but in a refreshing soft serve form, perfect for summer time! I got it in a cup for $4.50. I think the cone was a little more (maybe $5.50?). I went back a couple days later and tried the apple strudel. Also delicious! I believe I paid $5.50 for it, but it was worth it. The filling was perfect, and the outside was so flaky and sweet. Both times, I ate outside where there are benches and picnic tables. There are also some fun little activities for kids, like blocks made from 2 by 4s, various cutouts to take pictures in, and a little mining setup where you can buy “mining rough” to sift through. It’s really cute! I can’t wait to...
Read moreMedina is always a great little town to visit and now we have another reason to keep coming back!
A friend of ours had a birthday and we needed an apple pie for the birthday dinner. We were already going to be in the hill country so we placed an order for an apple pie to pick up on Monday. We heard that ordering in advance is the only way to insure you'll get a pie.
Upon arrival, we looked around the Apple Store, so many different kinds of pastries, bread, cookies, jams and jelly, and so much more. We visited with Barbara there, she was very pleasant to speak to and caught us up on all things Apple Store.
When the pie was brought out, I was surprised how tall it was! It must have been 5 inches at least. Beautiful looking pie!
The pie was a hit at the birthday dinner, everyone loved it!
While visiting with Barbara, I learned they will ship a pie anywhere in Texas to arrive the next day, wrapped, packed, shipped, for only $15 more!
Highly recommend The Apple Store, go...
