Pomme De Ritas — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

I've been eating here since they opened, and originally put in a good review. Tonight's meal made me have to change that. I'm a regular, and come in about once a week. The food and service was superior when they opened, but has been going downhill ever since. Tonight I came in and ordered a sweet tea that was rottening. It was undrinkable, and would have made me sick, had I drank it. I started out by ordering the calamari, which I usually love. Tonight it was soaked with banana pepper juice and had the peppers covering almost all of the calamari (this is only the third time they've had the peppers on them, even though it's on the menu). I also ordered the Joyce's baked potato, which I order as often as I can. The potato always has scallions on it, even though I ask them to take the scallions off every time. Above all, the potato wasn't cooked all the way! There is absolutely no consistency in the food. I love coming here but I'm not sure if I'll be back after tonight's meal. If I'm going to spend $18 on a potato, I expect it to not be crunchy. Completely...

In one word: FANTASTIC!

The food is amazing. High quality ingredients, very fresh and appealing with a perfect blend of spices and seasonings. The portions were very generous as well.

I must stress, this is a Tex-Mex restaurant, NOT a Mexican restaurant and it's fantastic.

The atmosphere of the place was very comfortable and felt like somewhere you've been coming to for years.

As for the service, there is none better than Kari. She is amazing and really wants your visit to be as good as can be. Very attentive, great personality and a good sense of humor.

If you're looking for a top notch establishment with great food and great staff, look no further than Pomme De Rita and Kari.

When camping on Lake Pomme De Terre you really should make a trip to Pomme De Ritas! The wife ordered the chimichanga with queso on the side and I had the beef brisket with a salad side. Our waitress was quick to seat us, quick on the drinks and so very friendly. As soon as we were seated, she brought us some warm tortillas chips and salsa. Then came our ice teas. In no time, we ordered our meals and our waitress was quick to deliver them. Both meals were really good. Both were so very filling! When we were presented with the check, the waitress brought us a bag of warm chips and some fresh salsa to go. It was a very nice outing...one you probably shouldn't miss if you are...
