The Crappie Hole — Restaurant in Contiguous United States

2nd time at this restaurant, WILL NEVER GO BACK, brought in an outside fountain drink when I went in with a party of 5 total, nothing was said, gave our orders, ate our food, not one time did my family members drinks get re filled, poor service, husband pays the bill, we leave a tip on the table, go to the parking and get chased down in the parking lot by our waitress yelling at us that "her boss said next time no.outside drink, especially when you dont tip" she was loud, rude and had a bad attitude, if you had a problem with the drink say something before you take my money. Myself and my daughter went back in and asked her if it was customary to harass customers in the parking lot and she said you only left me a dollar, I said no more than a dollar was left and if you didnt get it thats not my fault, she was a total smart ass and rude. There were 3 guys sitting at the bar area that followed my family outside and tried the intimidation factor, family maybe, drunk maybe, killed the pick up maybe, dont know and dont care, but if this is the kind of REDNECK environment you enjoy then go here, me, my family and all my friends from near and far WILL NOT BE BACK TO THIS HOLE IN THE GROUND,I give this a...

The owner/host was super kind in making sure we had a table for four! They were crazy busy, so we had to ask for a few things for a second trip to the table, but I like to think our waitress was doing a fabulous job that was her very best! I can't tell you I'd be any better. As for food, we had the catfish basket (will likely get this every time I go back), the triple decker BLT (hearty but refreshing...great bacon...perfectly cooked), and the catfish sliders (served deconstructed so that you can build your own the way you like them)! Our appetizers were pretty good. The fried mushrooms and fried okra were crispy and seasoned well. Oh, and the fries and hush puppies as part of the catfish basket you ask? The fries were just like the fries from high school with the extra crispy coating on the outside of an already fried french fry. The hush puppies not overly done and still very flavorful. Our friends have raved about this place for a while now and insisted that we all go here last night for dinner (from out of town). We drove the 40-min and glad we did. Absolutely delicious! Jakobi (not sure if I spelled it right) was our waitress on this very busy Saturday night. Somehow we got a table right away and drinks were at our table shortly after. For as busy as they were, we were surprised at how quickly the appetizers and meals came out. The food is fantastic but I honestly was more impressed with the prices. Nobody's meal was over $8 and they were generous portions. My favorite dish was the catfish dinner. The coleslaw was soooooo good! This place impressed so much that we made a day trip back today and stopped in on our way back out of town.
